“You’re dating a very thorough man.”
“I’m beginning to notice.”
His fingers tighten a little more. My breath catches. The smug bastard smiles.
“I hate you.”
“No, you don’t.”
“No. Unfortunately, I really don’t.”
He kisses me again, and this time there is nothing slow about it. His hand stays in my hair pulling gently while the other moves over me, confident now, because he knows what I like and I’m not too shy to tell him when he gets it wrong. Not that he gets much wrong. Annoying man. I tug at his belt.
“My turn.”
His forehead touches mine. “For what?”
“Research.”
“That so?”
“I’m a librarian. We take information very seriously.”
“I’ve noticed.”
I get his belt open. His breathing changes. That alone makes me feel powerful.
“Still want to tell me to slow down?”
“Yes.”
I stop. He laughs when I glare at him.
“You’re enjoying this far too much.”
“Immensely.”
“You know, normal men are grateful when a naked woman starts undressing them.”
“I’m extremely grateful.”
“You hide it well.”
“Bridget.”
“What?”
His hand catches mine and brings it to his mouth. He kisses my palm. Then looks directly into my eyes. “I want this to last longer than five minutes.”
Oh. Well. That is considerably harder to argue with.
“Fine.”
“Fine?”
“Ten.”
He laughs. I kiss him before he can come up with another smart answer.
