The smell of leather intensified, curling around the cramped space and mingling with hers, and the unmistakable hint of warm skin underneath. I wanted to bottle it, to bury my face in her neck and take my fill of her.

“Josh… someone might come,” she panted.

Oh, someone’s definitely coming.

“Tell me to stop, then,” I murmured as my hand crept up her spine, until it settled at her nape.

My fingers curled into her hair and tugged, tipping her head back and exposing the pale line of her throat. I bit down on a groan before my lips crashed down on the sensitive spot below her ear.

She rewarded me with a breathy moan I immediately needed to hear again.

Christ.

“Tell me you hate this,” I whispered on her skin.

When she remained silent, my free hand trailed down to her hip, curling into her soft flesh and giving it a small demanding squeeze.

She sucked in a sharp breath.

“I hate it.” Her words were defiant, but her voice was breathless in a way I’d heard only once before.

My answering chuckle vibrated along her collarbone, before I plastered a bruising kiss right above it.

Her little whimper was the sweetest sound I’d ever heard.

Music played from the surrounding speakers, but my pulse roared in my ears, drowning everything apart from her soft little sounds.

“Such a pretty little liar,” I purred, pulling back a fraction, enough to peer up at her.

Her pupils blew wide, twin pools of want she couldn’t disguise.

“You’re such a jerk,” she mouthed.

Snow hit the roof of the car with soft thumps, and the engine thrummed under the seat, cocooning us in near silence, broken only by her sharp intakes of breath.

“Yeah? Is that so?” I hummed in a patronising tone, tasting her perfume on my tongue as I licked a slow stripe along the side of her neck, then traced her necklace, before suckling at the pendant in a filthy way I planned to employ somewhere else.

Her hands snapped to my back, curling into my sweater, and her eyes pinged open, snagging on my mouth.

Yet she has the audacity to lie through her teeth.

My fingers dug into her hip in reprimand, hitching her breath again, before dragging along her side and brushing the swell of her breasts with every pass.

I smothered another chuckle on her skin, mouth trailing up to nibble and suck on her earlobe.

Fog crept over the windows, shielding us from the outside world, until I couldn’t make out anything beyond.

My fingers hooked onto the hem of her sweater, before my palm slid under at last. I skimmed her sides, traced the column of her spine, raising goosebumps in my wake as my lips crashed against hers again—hungrier this time, swallowing her moan.

The taste of strawberry sweetness clung to her tongue, making my knees weak.

She arched into me, hands sliding to my chest, fisting in my sweater, as I angled her head back and our mouths slanted together, tongues licking against each other in a filthy dance.

My breathing sounded like something had punched holes in my lungs.

It took everything in me not to arch up and grind against her.

A sultry string of guitar notes curled around us as my hands ghosted over her ribs, brushing the underside of her bra, the slow strokes a metronome to her surrender—or my restraint snapping. Whichever came first.
