Unbalanced

“What the hell are you doing to me, Emily?”

My voice comes out strained as I give in to the craving and stroke my cock. I grip it hard, more of a punishment than pleasure for not keeping myself in control. The perfect balance I keep is no better than a child’s teeter-totter in a gale-force storm.

Faster and faster my hand moves, jerking my cock without mercy. The climax is just as wild and slams through my body.

“Fuck,” I roar.

Stumbling back until I hit the tile, I watch as come flies out in one stream after another. Even once I’ve released the last of it, and despite the sensitivity, I keep stroking.

There is no relief…just the sensation of being pulled under and drowning in something that I don’t yet understand. I know deep down that whatever is going on threatens the very core of how I live and what I believe.

No…I’m Alden Mitchell. I don’t let people pull my fucking chains. Whoever this is doesn’t know what I’m really capable of if they think they can use Emily to hurt me.

I quickly finish up in the shower and dress for my dinner with Emily.

On my way, I take the bottle and glass to a friend at a private forensic laboratory. The owner, Grant, owes me a favor. It’s too far away to go to my lab at the funeral home, and I don’t want to wait.

Grant happens to be standing at reception when I walk inside. He takes one look at my face and frowns.

“Come to my office,” he says, and I follow him.

Once the door is closed, he looks at me.

“What’s going on?”

“I need a favor.” I hand him the bag, and he takes it. “I think someone dosed me. I don’t have a clue what it was. Can you test for anything and everything? I need it rushed and kept quiet.”

“Of course, but even rushed, this will take a minimum of eight hours.”

Annoyance fills me, but I keep my face blank.

“Fine, you know my number. Call me as soon as you have the results.”

“And what about me? Are we even after this?”

“You wouldn’t have made it out of Harvard without me. You really think the debt is paid?”

His lips press into a hard line.

“Are you planning to hold that over my head forever?”

I smirk.

“Guess you’ll have to wait and see.”

Grant’s jaw twitches before he finally sighs in defeat.

“I’ll call you,” he smartly answers, and I walk out.

Eight hours seems like an eternity, but there’s nothing I can do for now.

Flooring it out of the parking lot, I head to the other side of the city.

EMILY

“Alright, out with it. Why are you so happy today,” Sam asks as I put the finishing touches on an arrangement made with pretty Gerber daisies.

I really love this sunny flower.
