I rock first, then bounce. His moans and groans help me find a good rhythm for what he wants. My aim is to focus only on him. He’s given me so much already. He deserves happiness too.

But soon, what pulls the sweetest cries from his lips has me panting as well.

“So close, Sunshine.”

I bite my lip and double down, bouncing and rotating harder and faster.

His fingers grip my hips so tight that I swear he’s close to drawing blood, but I don’t care. Not when it feels too good to stop. I feel him explode inside me a second before he shouts his release, which triggers my own.

I slow my movements, and unlike all the times before, Cole doesn’t shift me off him. He barely moves at all. If it weren’t for hearing him breathing, I’d have sworn I killed him.

I lower myself and just breathe as I come down from the best sex I’ve ever had.

His fingers glide over the skin on my lower back and ass in a soothing touch that has me thinking it’s only the pads. From the angle I’m at, I doubt he can reach much more of me.

“You alive down there, Sunshine?”

I give a noncommittal growl that has me smiling when I hear him laughing. I whine when he moves, jostling me till his strong arms wrap around me and lift me easily off him. Then I’m cradled back to his chest and set on my side with him behind me.

“We should clean up,” I mutter as I feel things slide out of me.

“Don’t you have people for that?” he mumbles against my shoulder blade, pulling yet another smile from my lips.

With the way Grandfather was talking, I bet I really do have people who would be okay with cleaning up the mess we’re sleeping on. This place always had a slew of staff that catered to my father’s and grandfather’s needs. If I take over, I bet they would cater to mine too. Unless, of course, there’s a mutiny and everyone quits.

“Stop,” he huffs.

“Huh?”

“I can hear you thinking. Sleep now, shower and sex later, then more sleeping. After breakfast, you can think,” he says with a kiss to my shoulder and pulls me closer to him. I feel his dick softening against me, but I wiggle my ass just because I can.

“Don’t tempt me, woman. I’m only pausing to give you time.”

“Really?” I move just a bit to see him out of the corner of my eye.

“Give me five minutes and I’m going to rock your world.” As if to prove his point, his dick jumps behind me, startling me enough that I let out a girlish squeak and then laugh like crazy.

Cole spins me to face him and drapes me across his body, with my bent knee raised high on his stomach.

“There. No more scare tactics.”

“I wasn’t scared,” I mumble into his chest hair that tickles but also feels soothing against my skin.

“It’s okay if you were, Sunshine. I’d protect you.”

I say nothing. Not because I don’t believe him, but because I do. And while I just had the best moment of my life, I’m not sure what the future holds for us. I know what he wants, what my grandfather wants, and just about everyone else.

But what do I want?

Living here caused me nothing but fear and nightmares. Living in Kansas has some good points, but also bad ones.

Nowhere has been perfect.

I don’t think I get perfect, though. A punishment for the family’s transgressions, I think. Sins of the father never go unpunished, and while I might not know my biological father, I feel as if it applies more to my grandfather and grandmother. Hell, maybe even further back than that. My great-grandfather hated the very thought of tainted blood, and he’s probably rolling in his grave knowing that I’m close to taking over his legacy.

If I accept it.

I still don’t know what I plan to do.
