Heart of Stone

Her body squirmed as if the sensation was almost too much, but I kept going, wanting to bring her to the edge once again. As I felt her body tense, her legs go straight, I pulled away.

“Ouch!” I yelled, pulling my hand from her mouth. “Did you just bite me?”

She smiled that same sinful smile.

“You don’t edge me and get away with it.” She sat up and pushed me back against the window, my head hitting the glass. For the first time since we started, I noticed the windows were fogged from our breath and sweat-slicked skin.

I sat with my cock at attention, admiring the curves of her body and the way her breasts spilled from her bra. She reached behind her and undid the clasp, giving me a clear view of them perked up on her body.

“Those are the prettiest tits I’ve ever seen,” I groaned, my eyes nearly rolling into the back of my head. That was supposed to be an internal thought, but a pretty woman made me a little crazy.

“I know.”

She smiled at my declaration, removing her panties next, the small space of the truck cab not being an issue for her. She tossed the lace fabric to the front seat and climbed back on top of me.

I placed my hands on her hips, and she lowered onto my cock. Instead of bouncing on my length, she rode me into oblivion. Eleanor rubbed her clit against the base of my cock, the sensation causing her to pant and whimper. Her hands flew to the window behind me, and I glanced back to see her handprints in the condensation.

This time, I was close and she was too. It didn’t take much movement to create a tingle at the base of my spine. Her breasts in my face again, the feeling of her stuffed with my cock, and the reminder we were doing it in the parking lot of my hometown bar all became too much. On a growl, I released, pumping into her as I let myself go. She came too, her body tensing as she grunted out a curse, her head flying back. As we rode out the climax, I took her nipple between my teeth again. She pressed out her chest and welcomed it.

“Just like that,” she huffed as her jaw went slack. The adrenaline died down, the height of my release dulling. Eleanor collapsed against my chest, panting with exertion.

We both needed a breather before we attempted to get ourselves together. Fucking in the back seat of my truck wasn’t my favorite place, but I don’t think I’d ever be able to look at it the same. I’d have a constant reminder of her and her sassy mouth. I felt charged, alive in a way that sex hadn’t made me feel in quite some time. It had become monotonous, but the way she challenged me ignited that flame again.

“Don’t let what I’m about to say go to your head,” she said on an exhale as she sat up. “But that was really fucking good.” She climbed off my lap and started to grab her clothes.

“She gives out compliments?” I replied, trying to gather my pants and shirt. “I can’t believe you bit me.”

I laughed, shaking my head at the thought. I’ve had women bite me before, in playful ways, but nothing like that, not as a response to me teasing her.

Eleanor laughed as she pulled her shirt on over her bra. “Don’t test me”—she pulled on her pants—“when I say something, I mean it. I don’t beg for anyone.”

There went my cock again, twitching with arousal. This woman and her quick wit were going to be the death of me. There was a twist of something in my chest at the reminder that this was a one-time thing, that I’d probably never see her again. Typically, that was what I wanted, but with her, I wanted to see what else I could do to her. I wanted to hear what other sounds she made, what other smart comeback she’d have—sending another jolt of arousal straight between my legs.

Fully dressed, I opened the truck door, and the cool night air rushed in. I welcomed it, realizing only now how stifling the cab had become. Stepping outside, I extended my hand, offering her support as she climbed down. But she didn’t take it. She didn’t even acknowledge the gesture. Instead, she landed gracefully, as if she didn’t need me at all.

“Well, thanks for the orgasm. It was great.” She flung her purse over her shoulder with casual ease, taking a few steps back, her expression a mix of satisfaction and amusement. “Guess they weren’t lying when they said cowboys do it better,” she called over her shoulder as she turned away from me.

I watched her go, something sharp twisting in my chest. “Whose they?” I called back, trying to draw her in. But she didn’t bite. She just disappeared behind the cars scattered across the parking lot, her boots crunching in the gravel.

I stood there, staring after her, a mix of frustration and something darker flooding through me. At her ridiculous exit, I shook my head and moved toward my truck. I couldn’t stop my eyes from lingering on the spot where she’d disappeared.

The engine roared to life as I pulled out, glancing in my rearview mirror. That’s when I noticed Eleanor’s red lipstick smeared across my face. I swiped at it, but it wouldn’t come off. My gaze dropped to my neck, taking in the faint bruises, a reminder of the heated moment we’d just shared.

That woman had marked me, leaving hickeys I’d have to explain in the morning. I couldn’t help but chuckle at her checkmate.

“Well played,” I muttered to myself before glancing down and noticing a piece of recognizable fabric on my passenger seat.

If it were any other woman, I would’ve chalked up the underwear left behind as an accident. But something told me Eleanor did that on purpose too.

Chapter 4

Eleanor

WALKING THROUGH THE outrageously large doors of Stone Ranch, I couldn’t help but take in the breathtaking scene before me. I’d been inside my fair share of luxury resorts and hotels, but this place was one of the most immaculate I’d ever stepped foot in. The high, vaulted ceilings made of deep, rustic wood gave the space an air of effortless elegance. A grand fireplace stood to one side, unlit for the late spring season but still impressive. Strong, ambient lights hung from the beams above, casting a soft glow across the room. The floors were cobblestone, each stone seemingly placed with care.

My suitcase bobbed as it rolled across the floor, guiding me toward the front desk. I was checking in to start my stay, and my work. I’d arrived in Montana a day early, craving a moment of peace before the grind started. I deserved that much.

The night before, I’d stumbled into a dive bar a couple of miles from my hotel. I thought I’d go in, listen to some music, watch a few people dance, and enjoy a bourbon on the rocks. Instead, I ended up in the arms of a jaw-droppingly gorgeous cowboy.
