My Ex’s Christmas Scandal

So I do.

He cleans me slowly with the warm cloth, between my legs and behind, so carefully and so gently that my throat gets tight. When he’s done, he dries me with the towel. Then he kisses my hip.

Jarek retrieves my puppy pajamas from the Christmas tree and helps me into them, then bundles me up in the blanket. He pulls his own pajama pants back on and sits down behind me so I can lean against his chest.

“Wearing the puppies again,” he says. “It’s what Santa would want.”

Zander sits beside us and rubs slow circles on my lower back through the blanket. Pascal settles at my feet and starts rubbing them again, just like he did during the opening credits.

The fire has burned down to a soft crackle. The tree lights glow in the corner. The cool air from the rest of the house drifts across my cheeks, and my heart finally starts to slow.

“Are you okay?” Pascal asks, his thumbs still moving over my arches. “Was it too much? Now you know what you can do. You can have all of us, at the same time, any way you want. You never have to choose. We meant that.”

I’m still trying to catch my breath. And that phrase—too much—the one that’s haunted me for so long, suddenly means something completely different.

I was always the one afraid of being too much. Wanting too much, expecting too much, simply being too much for a man to handle. Reid made sure I believed it.

But now these three incredible men, who fulfill my every desire and pleasure my body in ways I didn’t even know existed, are worried that they might be too much for me.

“No,” I say softly. “It’ll never be too much. I want this all the time.”

Pascal smiles.

Ugh, he’s so hot, I can’t help but think.

They all are.

“Be careful what you wish for on Christmas Eve,” he says. “You just might get it.”

Jarek presses a kiss to the top of my head. Zander’s hand stays warm on my back. Across the room, the paused movie still waits on the TV screen.

“Anyone remember what this movie was about?” Jarek asks.

Nobody does.

This is the best Christmas Eve I’ve ever had.

CHAPTER 35

NINA

Morning comes while I’m still fast asleep in Zander’s bed, curled up with him, Jarek, and Pascal, who have somehow all fit into one bed with me. Anyone looking in would see a tangle of arms and legs, impossible to tell whose are whose.

I’m still half dreaming about last night by the fire, and how we stayed up well past midnight. But eventually, it’s time to get up.

It’s Christmas, after all.

“Come on.” Zander stands beside the bed and stretches his arms over his head. “Christmas morning coffee.”

We head downstairs like a wolf pack in puppy pajamas, and Zander starts the coffee. I’m not expecting presents or stockings. Just a slow, happy day together while the snow falls outside. But the guys have other plans.

“Let’s take our coffee to the study,” Jarek says. He’s trying so hard not to smile that it’s obvious something’s up.

When we get to the study, I stop in the doorway.

The fire is already roaring, courtesy of Pascal, who slipped out while the coffee was brewing.

The tree lights are glowing, and hanging among the branches is a glass strawberry. All our stockings hang side by side on the hearth, mine included. And they’re full. So is the space under the tree.
