Out of the corner of my eye, I catch Pascal’s tiny smirk. The only reason nothing has made it into the tabloids is him.
“Let me introduce you to my friends,” Jarek says, changing the subject. “This is Pascal, Zander, and Nina.”
She smiles at the three of us, studies Nina a beat too long, like she’s trying to figure out if she’s the one, then excuses herself to rejoin her friends. She glances back at Jarek a few times, still looking disappointed. The old Jarek, the one before Nina, would have definitely gone home with her. Nina is changing all of us.
“Did you have fun?” Pascal asks when we’re back at the house.
“Oh yes.” Nina smiles. “The food, the people-watching. Half those dresses cost more than my car! I never would have gotten to go to something like that otherwise. Thanks for bringing me.”
“It was our pleasure.” Pascal nods.
He looks tired, or maybe preoccupied. I can’t tell which. He says good night and heads upstairs without even staying for a nightcap.
“I almost don’t want the night to end,” Nina says.
Something flashes in Jarek’s eyes. A great idea. Probably a dirty one.
“It doesn’t have to.”
He glances at me, and I know exactly what he’s thinking.
So does Nina, because she bites down on her bottom lip, trying to suppress a smirk.
Jarek shrugs. “If you’re up for it.”
Nina looks between us and nods, visibly eager. I take a moment to think about what’s being offered. A threesome.
I’m not sure how I feel about it. I want Nina again. That part’s easy. What isn’t easy is the small, stupid spark of jealousy I can’t seem to shake, even though Jarek is one of my best friends.
I’m always the one in control. That’s the rule I live by. But something underneath it wants to pull back. What if she likes him better? What if sharing her like this means there’s less of her left for me?
I can’t shake the fear that I’ll be the one she stops choosing.
But if I pull away now, out of jealousy or fear, then I’ve already lost her. That’s how I lose everyone. I push people away before they can leave. I don’t know what’s going to happen tonight, or in two weeks when this is supposed to end. But I know I’m not going to stand here and watch Jarek walk into her room without me.
So I finish my drink and hold out my hand. When she takes it, I lead her upstairs to her bedroom, with Jarek right behind us.
CHAPTER 24
NINA
I’ve never done this before. Two men at once.
I’ve slept with Jarek and Zander separately, but the two of them together is a whole new experience. Honestly, I’m a little surprised they’re both on board. But all three of us seem to be, and I couldn’t be more intrigued to try yet another fantasy.
The second my bedroom door closes, it’s obvious none of us want to wait.
Zander steps in front of me. Jarek steps behind. For a moment, nobody moves, and I stand there between them in my red dress, my heart pounding, very aware that I have never been this outnumbered in my life.
Then Jarek’s fingers find the zipper at my back.
“I’ve wanted to do this all night,” he murmurs against my shoulder, drawing the zipper down slowly. “Every guy at that party was staring at you. And all I could think was that you’re ours. And I’m the one who gets to take this dress off you.”
Zander doesn’t say anything. He reaches up and starts pulling the pins from my hair, one at a time, setting each one on the dresser. When the last one comes out, my hair falls around my shoulders. He slides his hand into it, tilts my head back, and kisses me.
The silk slips off my shoulders and pools at my feet. The dress didn’t allow for a bra, so I’m standing there in my heels and a pair of lace panties, and nothing else.
Then there are hands everywhere. Jarek’s on my hips from behind, his mouth on the side of my neck. Zander’s cupping my breast, his thumb dragging slowly over my nipple while he kisses me. I try to keep track of whose hands are where and give up almost immediately.
