My Ex’s Christmas Scandal

by Molly Eden

Soothing hardened hearts is definitely not part of my job description, though. My track record with relationships attests to that. The best I can do is be an excellent concierge and make sure these guys have a great winter trip.

My last task for the day is at my keyboard. The guys want to do a handful of activities before the bigger events at the end of the month, like the Beaumont Gala. I have a running list and a finely tuned schedule to make it all happen. They provide the money and the wish list. I provide the legwork to make sure it all goes off without a hitch.

I get to work, trying not to let my mind wander to any of the men. By the time I pause to rub my sore wrist, the sun has already set.

“You should take a break,” Zander says from behind me.

I turn. He’s standing there, perfectly composed, and my stomach does the thing it does every time I look at him for too long. I’m never going to have clients this hot again. Which is probably for the best, if I want to stay professional.

Although I guess that ship has sailed.

“The doctor said you should be resting your wrist,” he scolds gently, glancing at my keyboard. “Doesn’t seem like you’re very good at following instructions.”

“I’m selective,” I say with a small laugh. “I follow the ones that are worthwhile to me.”

Zander steps closer and stands in front of my desk. Sitting down, I’m eye level with the front of his pants, and I make myself look up. I keep thinking about what he said—that he knows what he wants.

“I take that to mean I should feel special?” he asks. “Since you do follow most of my instructions. At least the ones pertaining to your job.”

“Definitely,” I laugh. “You hired me. That makes you my most special client. I’ll follow any instruction you give me.”

He leans down over the desk to meet my eyes and lowers his voice, as if we’re about to share a secret.

“What if my instruction was to follow me to my room?”

“For another bath?”

“No. I want to fuck you.”

It’s blunt. Not the soft, caring Zander from my bath. This is something hungrier.

“You can say no,” he adds carefully. “If you want.”

“I don’t want to say no,” I say quickly. “But I’ve already slept with Jarek. I don’t want to make things complicated between you guys.”

“Not complicated.” He walks around the desk and reaches down for my hand. “Casual. Fun. Nothing serious. Just really good sex.”

I take his hand and stand, my knees already trembling with anticipation. It’s the same sort of deal I have with Jarek, and it sounds like every girl’s fantasy—great sex with two incredibly good-looking, wealthy men in a festively decorated house in the mountains.

Not a single bone in my body wants to refuse.

“What about my wrist?” I smirk. “I thought you told me to take it easy.”

“Oh, trust me,” Zander grins as we walk toward his bedroom. “It’s not your wrist that’ll be sore tomorrow.”

Between his size and the hard-on he had after my bath, I know exactly what I’m in for. I’m about to be vigorously sexed up.

Best job perk ever.

CHAPTER 10

ZANDER

Nina tempts me in ways no woman ever has.

It’s just sex. No commitment. No attachment. I’ve wanted her since the moment she walked into this house, and I’ve spent every day since pretending I didn’t.

I’m done pretending.
