Why

I have a request

I barely get to make requests and I’m the coach

Okay well pass along this one

Do not trade Baptiste

Why

I know he’s doing well with you but the recent uptick in production might make him appealing to other teams

Tell them not to trade him

This isn’t a discussion, tell them not to trade him

Everett you don’t get to make demands

You’re a good player but this is above your pay grade

So here’s the thing

I’m the face of this franchise

I’ve won the turkeys two cups, their ONLY two cups

I’ve been captain for eight years

They pay me an astounding amount of money

So honestly if it’s not in my pay grade I’m not sure whose pay grade it would be in

I make more money than YOU do

And while I have a no-trade clause in place that only protects me from the team trying to move me

It does NOT protect the team from me trying to move

So you will tell the GM and whoever else is in charge of decisions that they won’t trade Baptiste

Or I’ll be gone by the start of next season

I will pass on your concerns to management

goaliegoals (March 4, 2024): @luc-henri-sourit girl you've been quiet lately - what gives?

↪ luc-henri-sourit: No smiles :( There are never smiles +/- two weeks within trade deadline

↪ goaliegoals: for real??

↪ luc-henri-sourit: Yes :((( My poor mopey son is always worried about trades (I assume).

↪ goaliegoals: omg that's so sad!! and i would be devastated if he got traded, he’s fixed the Turkeys’ power play and unbroken everett’s scoring problem from last season. plus the pk, the face-off wins, the general good human vibes he gives off

↪ luc-henri-sourit: The other teams will hear you

↪ goaliegoals: secret’s safe with me fam. we gotta keep that boy in albuquerque
