Razor smiled. “No.”
Jackhammer released Angel's hand. He moved so fast Razor didn't have time to react. One punch and Razor hit the ground. Jackhammer grabbed his cut and hauled him back up. “Try again.”
Razor spit blood. “You kill me, and she'll never know.”
Jackhammer hit him again. “Hammer, stop.” Angel's hand touched his back, and he stopped—not because Razor deserved mercy, but because she asked him to. He released the bastard and Razor fell to the ground.
Monster sighed. “I feel like we're losing control of this conversation.”
Ghost looked at him. “This was a conversation?”
“Fair point,” Monster said.
Angel moved toward Crow, and this time Jackhammer let her. She crouched beside him. “We need to get him help.” Crow's face had gone pale.
Monster nodded toward Drifter. “Patch him up enough to move.”
Drifter went over to Crow, and Angel stood. “We go to my father's house.”
Razor laughed from the floor. “No.”
Everyone looked at him, and Angel frowned. “What does that mean?”
“You're too late,” Razor said.
She stared him down. “What did you do?”
Razor pushed himself upright, and blood ran from his mouth. “You really think I'd wait seven years for you to come home to find that key?”
Angel's eyes widened. “The key.”
Razor smiled. “Yeah, we found it.”
Jackhammer looked at Angel. “How did you know that it was there?” she asked.
Razor laughed. “We've been watching that house for years.”
Angel shook her head. “You didn't know where the key was.”
“Not at first,” he admitted. His smile widened. “But thanks to the bug in your new boyfriend's room, you told us exactly where to look.” Ghost swore, and Jackhammer's stomach dropped. He was right—they had heard everything. Razor continued. “While Crow was busy playing hero and dragging you out of the clubhouse, I sent two men to Viper's house to retrieve the key.”
Angel looked sick. “They have the key?”
Razor nodded. “They had the key.”
“What does that mean?” she asked.
“It means they already used it,” Razor said.
Angel stepped closer. “Where did they use it?”
Razor looked out of the barn doors. “The graveyard.” Angel's face went white. Jackhammer remembered what she'd told them. The fake cemetery behind the Nomad Knights clubhouse, and the headstone Viper never let anyone move.
Ghost grabbed Razor. “What did they find?”
Razor smiled. “Nothing.”
Ghost shook him. “What the fuck does that mean?”
