“Exactly. I hold onto it very tightly.” He bit his lip. “I think you’ve noticed.”
I chuckled. “I might have.”
“That’s why I want you to break it.”
“You want me to push you.”
His expression didn’t waver. “That’s what I want, yes.”
“Why?” I asked.
He smiled. “Because I trust you not to lose me.”
My chest tightened. Trust like that wasn’t something I took casually.
“If you safeword, we stop.”
“Yes.” His gaze held mine. “But I don’t want you to go easy on me.”
I let out a long, slow breath.
For weeks Quinn had challenged me with humour, curiosity, and fearless honesty. Tonight he wanted to offer something far more serious.
His vulnerability.
“Very well,” I said quietly. “I’ll have a think, and we can negotiate this evening.” Quinn shivered, and I stared at him. “You’re sure about this?”
“Yes.” His voice was steady. “I want to see what happens when you stop holding back.”
I held his gaze for a moment.
I wanted to see that too.
Then I smiled. “Now we’ve got that part out of the way…” I gestured to the tented duvet. “Do you want me to take care of that?”
He shook his head. “I can wait.”
I chuckled. “This assumes I’m going to let you come tonight.”
Quinn’s breath caught. “Orgasm denial?” His eyes widened. “You already have an idea about the scene, don’t you?”
I grinned. “You asked me for a scene to ‘shake up’ your world.” I hooked my fingers in the air. “You asked me to push you. To take your breath away.” I folded my arms. “So I’m going to do exactly that.” I inclined my head towards his mug. “Finish your tea. Then we can go downstairs and you can feed me.” Another grin. “That’ll give your housemates something else to talk about.”
He rolled his eyes. “They’ll love that.” He gave me a hopeful glance. “No hints about the scene?”
“None whatsoever.”
He narrowed his gaze. “Has anyone ever told you what an evil Dom you are?”
“Frequently. It’s part of the job description.” I pulled back the duvet, and his bare dick bobbed up. I leaned over and kissed the head. “And I’ll see you tonight.”
Quinn gasped. “You are evil. Don’t think I’ve forgotten about the other night, either.” I frowned, and he did another eye roll. “That was you on the phone, wasn’t it? Getting me all worked up, then leaving me to stew?”
“I had forgotten.” I buffed my nails on my T-shirt. “What can I say? I’m good.”
And as soon as I was on my way home, I intended calling the club.
There was a specific piece of equipment I needed to book.
