“So?” I looked up at him.

The sun was starting to set, the sky a beautiful warm orange.

The sounds of the carnival were at a all time high, the laughter and the music flowing freely through the grounds.

“I’m just going to get some lemonade.” I announce and head to find a drink.

“Wait, I can come.” Willow says.

“We’ve been in line for like ten minutes. It’s okay, I feel kind of dizzy anyways.”

She’s been talking about wanting to go on this ride all night, and we decided to do it right before the fair closes.

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah.” I say and step out of line.

It was hot, but also the breeze of the summer was flowing through which felt so nice.

I decided on wearing a a halter dress that came with built in shorts. Kind of what I wore last year. Luckily, I really didn’t have boobs, so I wasn’t worried about them popping out or anything.

Same tennis shoes graced my feet since they were broken in. I knew I was running.

Walking away, I find the closest food stand and stand in line.

I open up my phone and I text my dad and my mom that I was okay. Being nineteen didn’t stop my parents from checking on me all the time. Especially my mom.

“Um.. hi.”

I turn around and see a taller guy standing behind me.

He had beautiful mocha skin and curly hair. He was extremely pretty. Wearing a Letterman jacket and a pair of jeans, he was giving star football player.

“Um hi?”

There were quite a few guys around him standing in line, so I assumed they were his buddies.

“Are you from around here?” he asks me.

“Uhh. No.” I say back. “I’m just visiting.”

I turn around to see the line had moved up.

“Oh, well I’m Liam.”

Glancing back at him, I respond. “Okay, hi Liam. I’m Raven.”

“Very pretty.”

I looked at him. “My name?”

He grinned.

“That too.”

Oh.

Ohhhhhh.
