Chase?
The heck?
“I know, I can’t wait to see Mickey either.” the other voice says.
The steps keep going and I try to watch their figures as they walk through the way that I came in from.
Did they have on…….masks?
I think my eyes were seeing things, I don’t really know.
All I know, is I need to leave before someone spots me and bans me before I even get to experience the haunted part next year.
Before someone spots me and kicks me out for being here past 8.
Sliding my phone out of my pocket, I check the time and see its 8:07.
Fuuuuuuuck.
I already have three missed calls from my dad.
I text him back quickly that I was just chatting with my friends, and I hit send.
Moving my head around, I try to see if there was a way directly out to the parking lot without having to go the way they just went.
“Ladies and Gents.” A distorted voice crackles over the intercom.
I stop still in my tracks.
All I could see was the amber glow coming from the tents, and nothing else.
“Welcome to The Summers End Carnival.”
The voice sounded creepy. Eerie. Made the goosebumps on my skin prickle with uneasiness.
“You signed the waiver.”
What waiver?
“You know the rules.”
Rules?
What kind of haunted house was this?
“Make sure the stamp is visible when entering the various attractions. If we see it rubbed off or missing, you will be excused out and banned from further.”
The voice was giving me chills.
A stamp?
Banned?
“Now, lets’ play.” the voice says and the same alarm sounds out.
Play what?
I wanted desperately to see.
