“What’s the whole issue with the ages anyways? I mean, I’ve been to haunted houses before and they never required me to be 18.”

“It’s for a reason.” she says. “Trust me.”

That’s all she says.

I search her eyes to see if there was more, but that was it.

“Here.” she says and reaches in her pocket. She pulls out her keys.

“Why don’t you take my car to your house? I will come get it sometime tomorrow if that’s okay?”

She was trusting me with her car?

“Just send me your address and I’ll let you know when I’m stopping by. You do have a license right?”

I have a permit. But, we were so poor that I really didn’t have the reason for an actual license, but I think a permit is the same.

“Yeah, a permit is the same right?”

She stops before she just laughs.

“Just be very careful girl. Text me when your home and all that.”

“Yeah, for sure. Thank you.” I say and accept the keys.

“TWENTY MINUTES” the intercom voice speaks out.

“I’ll see you tomorrow girl. If I don’t text back tonight, I promise I’m okay.”

Why wouldn’t she text me back?

“You’ll find out next year babe.” she says with a wink.

My bladder makes a knock.

Shit, I shouldn’t of drank all that water.

“Okay. Well have fun. I’ll see you tomorrow Willow.”

She leans in and gives me a hug. I hug her back and head off.

I spot the exit and book it there. But, my bladder knocks again.

Turning my head a little, I spot a restroom sign nearby.

Could I wait?

My bladder squeezed.

Soooo no? Got it.

I speed towards the bathroom.

Opening the door, I see a line of people lined up ready to use the restroom.

Fuck.

My mom always told me I was bad for holding my pee for too long, and I should’ve went the minute I felt it on the tilt a whirl.
