A Tragic Melody

“Fuck. Fine,” I groan. “But I can’t get hard like this.” I step back, prying Tuesday’s hand off my cock. “Do you have any coke or something?”

“You want drugs?” Hendricks laughs.

“Want? No. Need? Yes.”

“Throwing sobriety out the fucking window, huh?”

“If I’m going to become a rapist, I’m going to need some fucking drugs,” I snap at him.

“Rapist? The girl is practically begging for your cock. Threatened me to save you, that’s how bad she wants it. This isn’t rape, it’s a dream come true for her, and a nail in her fucking coffin.”

“Not like this,” I say harshly. “She doesn’t want me like this. Not with a fucking prick watching.”

“A prick who’s going to save your ass,” he says, pulling a tin from his pocket. “But can’t say I blame you. If I were you, I’d need a little help getting hard for this stupid cunt after everything she has put you through.” He flips open the tin, walking up to us. Tuesday blinks out a few more tears. He lifts a key worth of coke towards my nose with one hand, and uses the other to yank Tuesday’s head up by her hair. “Look at that, you got to destroy the guy after all, just like you wanted right?”

Tuesday’s bottom lip trembles as I lower my nose to the key. I close my eyes so I can’t see her as I do the one thing I was scared of doing from the start.

Drugs.

It floods my system quickly. My eyes open, looking down at Tuesday. A chaotic sedation falls over my body. He lifts another bump to my nose, and I inhale it, too. My eyes remain on her this time.

She watches me through tear-filled eyes. Staring as I give up my sobriety with very little thought. I think I always knew I’d toss it all away because of her. In the beginning, I thought she’d ruin me because I had no self-control, because I wouldn’t know how to say no to her. Now I know that’s not the case.

I’m doing it because I want to be in ruins with her.

I’d much rather have heroin coursing through my veins right now, but this will have to do.

“Welcome to hell, kid.” Hendricks laughs, lifting a bump to his own nose.

“Been here awhile.” I crack my neck. “Jesus,” I mutter.

I forgot how tingly coke can make me feel. I can feel my heartbeat in my fucking ears. Tuesday moves closer, her hand gripping my cock again as she slowly begins to stroke it.

“Please stop,” I say to her. “I need a fucking moment.” I turn around, letting my eyes close for a moment. When I open them back up, I reach down and tuck my cock back in my pants, zipping them up.

“Feels good, doesn’t it? Is it everything you remembered?” Hendricks’s voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me right now.

“Not quite as good as I remember.” I shrug, turning to look at him. He smiles smugly at me. My eyes dart to Tuesday, who stares at the ground again. “Tues, get up.” I hold my hand out to her. “We are not playing his fucking games.”

“What is your plan then?” Hendricks huffs. “You think I’ll just let you leave? Your freedom is in my hands, and all you got to do to get it is fuck a warm cunt.”

“Yeah, well I’d rather fucking die.”

“Hear that, sweetie? The guy you so desperately want to save would rather die than fuck you.” He laughs.

“Tues, please. Get up. We’re leaving.”

“She isn’t going with you. She is dumb, but not that dumb. She has learned better than to bite the hand that feeds her.”

“Trust me,” I say to her. “Please?”

“You did drugs,” she says softly, peering up at me. “You gave up being sober. Why?”

“Because if I’m going to destroy my fucking life, I want it to be on my terms. Now. Get up.”

“Don’t listen to him. You know what happens if you leave this room before I’m done with you.”

Tuesday’s eyes fall to the floor once more.
