“We need to get you inside. I think this place is vacant. We may be safe here.”

His eyes opened again. “Home. Safe.”

I glanced toward the house. “This is your home?”

He gave me a small nod.

“I thought the Princes' Manor was your home.”

“Not always... been... a prince,” he rasped.

Understanding dawned.

“This was where you lived before you moved in with Kai and Zian?”

Another nod. That explained why his dragon had brought us here. It had taken him somewhere familiar. Somewhere it considered safe. I looked toward the house again. It wasn't far. Maybe a hundred yards. The problem was getting Daemin there. He was considerably larger than me. I looked down at him. His eyes had drifted shut again.

“You're going to have to help,” I told him.

“I... can walk.”

“You can't even keep your eyes open.”

The corners of his lips lifted in a smile. How could any man be so handsome?

“Okay,” I said. “Let’s do this.”

Ignoring my own pain, I slid one arm behind his back. Getting Daemin upright was one of the hardest things I’d ever done. He tried to help, but the moment he stood, his legs nearly gave out. I ducked beneath his arm and wrapped mine around his waist. His weight settled against me.

“Damn, you’re huge,” I complained.

“It’ll be more impressive once I’m feeling better.”

“What?” I asked, frowning.

Then my gaze dropped to the monster between his legs. It was swaying with each step we took.

“Daemin!” I yelled. “Stop being nasty.”

His light chuckle was music to my ears. Just last night, this man was vowing to never love me. And now I was carrying his naked behind into his house while he joked about his cock. This was not the book I’d read.

“You weigh a thousand pounds,” I grunted as we neared the steps.

“All muscle.”

“Yeah, yeah. I can tell you work out.”

A weak laugh escaped him. But he wasn’t lying. He was solid, all muscle. Every few steps, Daemin stumbled. Every time he did, my dragon pushed harder.

Get closer to him.

“I literally cannot get any closer to him, or I’ll be crawling up his ass.”
