Though I don’t know the truth about my parents, I do know most human women die in childbirth when giving birth to descendants. I’m pretty sure that’s what happened to my mom. She died so that I could live. Tears sprang to my eyes. I tried to blink them away before my guys noticed. Too late.

Charm rushed to my side. “I was joking,” he told me. “I didn’t mean it. We’re not going to ask you to do anything immoral. I don’t think we will.” His gaze jerked to the others, seeking confirmation. Vayn didn’t reply.

Bliss said, “I’m pretty sure we will. But we’ll wait until you’re ready.”

Rage added, “We’d never force anything on you.”

Dread nodded but remained silent. Vayn still hadn’t replied. But he looked worried about me. I wiped my eyes.

“I’m not tearing up because of what Charm said. I... sometimes my mind drifts to my parents. And I think of my mother and the fact that she may have died in childbirth. Knowing I’m the reason she’s no longer alive makes me sad.”

Vayn’s frown deepened. “How did Charm’s words make you think of your mother?”

“Didn’t you hear me say my mind drifts?”

“I heard her,” Bliss said.

“Me too,” Charm added.

I held in my laugh. Poor Vayn was outnumbered in his own home. Vayn sighed deeply and rubbed his hand through his damp hair. The muscles of his arm and abs flexed. I swallowed, trying to keep my mind from drifting into the gutter.

Charm leaned closer to me. “Seriously, little one, if you don’t want us to ask for immoral things, you have to quit getting aroused by us.”

My mouth dropped open in shock. Did he really just say that? “I’m not... I’m not aroused,” I sputtered.

“Such a pretty little liar. The proof is in your scent. We can smell your arousal,” Charm whispered before inhaling deeply and then shivering.

“We do,” Bliss confirmed. “It smells heavenly.”

“Your scent makes me hungry,” Rage added.

“It makes me want to touch you,” Dread growled. “Down there.” He glanced down.

Their words caused another wave of arousal to crash over me. Low growls filled the room. That only made my desire rise a notch. I clenched my thighs as all of their gazes dropped there. OMG! Why were they staring down there?

I stared at Vayn, looking for a bit of help, only to find his gaze there also. I should be offended. However, I’d ogled his dick earlier. Fair was fair. I knew I was blushing, but I didn’t want to reveal how shy they were making me. So, I cleared my throat.

“My eyes are up here, boys,” I said, thankful that my voice hadn’t shaken.

When their gazes jerked to mine, none of them looked embarrassed, not even Vayn.

“Adults,” Vayn growled.

“Huh?”

“You called us boys,” he pointed out. “We’re full grown.”

Yes, you are. “Adults,” I corrected. “My eyes are up here.”

“We know where everything on you is,” Charm said, smirking.

Of course, they did. They’d healed me when I was in the shower.

“And we like how every inch of you looks,” Charm added.

I swear, these shadows were good for my ego.

“You’re bad,” I whispered to Charm.
