She most certainly does not believe me.
It wouldn’t be a Cedar Falls High rugby win without a celebration at Gordy’s. And each week, the crowd grows bigger.
The girls stayed nearly three hours, bouncing between tables while Gordy kept sending out appetizers “for the winners.” Lee and Darren spent most of the night giving me shit every time I looked at Kinsey, and then, in the middle of eating dinner and drinking celebratory beers, my mother texted me that Kinsey is adorable.
Now, on the drive home, the truck is quiet except for the music turned low while Kinsey stares out the passenger window with a small smile still lingering on her face from the night.
The second we walk through the duplex door, Kinsey grabs the front of my hoodie and kisses me hard, knocking the breath from my lungs. I barely have time to shut the door before my back hits it with a thud, my hands gripping her cheeks while she presses herself against me like she’s been thinking about this the entire drive home from Gordy’s.
Which, judging by the way she’s kissing me right now, maybe she was.
Her mouth moves against mine—hot and impatient. Kinsey’s fingers grip the short strands of hair at the back of my neck while she kisses my skin, and my dick hardens behind the zipper of my jeans.
“Hi,” she murmurs against my skin.
I laugh softly, my hands tightening on her hips. “We literally spent the entire day together.”
“Mmhm.” She kisses me again. “But not like this.”
This woman is trying to kill me.
I spin us before I can think too hard about it, trapping her gently against the door while I kiss her slower this time, trying to savor it instead of immediately combusting. Her hands flatten against the skin of my chest beneath the hoodie while I lick and nip at the soft skin of her neck.
Kinsey tilts her head. “You know your mom definitely knows something’s going on, right?”
I groan, dropping my forehead against hers. “Please don’t talk about my mom right now.”
She barks out a laugh before she kisses me again. And God, I don’t think I’ll ever get over this. The way she fits against me. Kissing her somehow feels exciting and familiar at the same time.
My hands search under her sweater, palms settling against her bra. Kinsey shivers lightly beneath my touch before her teeth gently catch my bottom lip.
“Look at you, Weston,” she pants.
“What about me?”
“So confident,” she says with a coy grin.
“I’m a changed man, Malone.”
She laughs so loud enough that it echoes through the quiet duplex.
“Riley,” she breathes.
I speak in between kisses down her neck. “Yeah, Kitten?”
“Do we still have that whipped cream in the fridge?”
Chapter fifty-four
Kinsey
Riley tilts his head in confusion.
“I think so. Why?”
I place my hands on his chest as I push off the door and head for the kitchen. I pause by the island, my back to him as I tug off my sweater and leggings, leaving me only in my thong.
“Fuck, Kinsey.” Riley sighs behind me.
