His Daddy hummed, and his hands went to Creighton's hips, helping him rock forward. Creighton was happy to comply. There was no chance of him stopping what was going on between them.

He wanted more, always more.

As his erection hardened even further, he whimpered. It felt like his body would snap at any moment, that it was only mere seconds before everything became too much and he came apart.

His Daddy pulled back and their eyes met. Creighton suspected his own were glowing, his vampire nature right at the surface. It matched the way his Daddy was looking at him — all passion and eagerness.

"You're going to come like this. You're going to make a mess of yourself, and then I'm going to take us into the shower and clean you thoroughly."

The final word was said in a way that left no room for argument. His Daddy had plans. Plans that involved Creighton being bare.

"Yes, Daddy," he answered, giving his full agreement and consent.

With that, his Daddy tugged him forward again and again. His mouth met Creighton's, and the kiss was perfection. He tried to avoid hitting his Daddy's lips or tongue with his fangs, but Thalric didn't seem to mind. In fact, it seemed as if he wanted it to happen.

Creighton got his first hint of blood and damn near leaped off his Daddy's lap. In his aroused state, with them kissing and their bodies working in tandem, it was making his blood sweeter. It made him taste like everything Creighton had ever loved in life. He whined and moaned, whimpered and thrashed against the other man.

Creighton pulled back as his orgasm crashed forward. "Daddy!" The word rushed out of him on a breath.

"Yes," Thalric groaned. "There you go."

The praise, the power of his mate's words, made Creighton's orgasm go even longer than usual. He felt like he was coming and coming nonstop. When it finally ended, he collapsed forward, his body spent and his emotions wrung out.

His Daddy hummed, kissing the top of his hair. He could feel the sweat there. His curly hair was a mess, he was sure, and his body pliant in all the ways that mattered. Creighton had to force himself to regulate his system. While he didn't actually breathe, his body needed to return to a normal state. He wanted his fangs gone, wanted to be of a clear mind as they spoke about what came next.

"I can sense your worry," Daddy said. "You needn't be scared. I will be by your side every day for the rest of my life."

Creighton couldn't quite believe his words. How could he promise such a thing, especially when he had obligations?

Now knowing who Thalric was — that he was the man on the other side of his screen, his messages — it was clear that his visit was supposed to only be temporary. Thalric had a life in his own horde, a place, and while he had mentioned that his family wanted him here, Creighton couldn't merge the two ideas.

It didn't seem possible. Even if it were, what would make Thalric stay with him? What did he have to offer the other man aside from being his mate?

Thalric pulled back, his hand moving to Creighton's face and shifting him so they could look each other in the eye. Creighton wanted to hide. He wanted to bury himself back into his Daddy's chest and pretend as if everything would suddenly be okay, that he wasn't getting emotional. Except he very much was getting emotional, and his Daddy knew it.

"Talk to me, little one," he said. "I want to know what troubles you."

Creighton bit his lip for a moment. Could he really admit the truth to this man? Could he share as vulnerably as he had when he didn't have a name or a face to put to him? He didn't know, but he had to try.

Creighton dipped his head, then said, "I'm worried about you having to leave. Your horde needs you."

Thalric smiled softly and shook his head. His hands, which had been holding on to Creighton's hips, squeezed. "I am going nowhere, Little Biter. I had already been considering my family's idea for me to stay. It seemed selfish, and I didn't want to be that way. I felt as if I had to take care of the horde I'd been assigned all those years ago. But with my fated mate here, I don't need any other reason. You are it. You are my purpose. You are my passion. And you will be that, no matter what."

Creighton struggled still to believe the words. "But what about your responsibilities and all your stuff?"

Daddy chuckled. "I can always have someone else run the horde. My sister and brother-in-law are fully capable of assigning another person in charge. Besides, I had people under my command who I delegated tasks to. I was more of a figurehead than anything. They could handle it without me."

"And your stuff?" Creighton pressed, because that was his big hang-up. If they could, by some means, put another person in charge, Thalric would still need to go back and get all of his belongings.

His Daddy responded right away, as if the answer had already been in the back of his mind. "As I said, my sister is good at getting things done. She has already told me that she can get me my things. At least the sentimental ones. Everything else about my place has been recreated here. Look around. This is my home. It's only been brought to San Noctis through my sister's diligence."

Creighton looked around the room, taking in all the finer details. It did very much seem like a space his Daddy would want to stay in. He thought about the future, what it would mean for him to have a mate, to have his Daddy in San Noctis full-time.

All the stress and worry he'd held onto could be soothed. He would have someone to come home to at night, someone to love and cherish him. He could find peace, true peace, and protection. His Daddy had said he would be protected above all else.

That thought alone made Creighton want to cry. He had never been properly protected, and he wanted it so badly.

They sat in silence for a moment, and Creighton was about to say that he understood it would be good for his Daddy, but the other man must have sensed the conversation continuing, because he gripped beneath Creighton's bottom again and stood.
