“Which is why you’re going to buy the house with the garden, pool, hot tub, and ugly wallpaper.I grab onto him, kissing his cheek. “Yes, I will buy the house with the ugly wallpaper.”
“Good, because I want you to fuck me in that pool.”
I roll my eyes. “We are not fucking in the pool.”
“At least let me suck your dick under the water. Come on, that would be so hot!”
I admit, that would be really hot. I’ve never done that before, and I am so down for it, but if I don’t keep him in line, he gets out of control.
“Fine, but no coming in the water.”
He draws an X over his heart with his finger. “Promise.”
The food comes shortly after, and we eat while watching Gremlins. Another movie he’s never seen, because with all the spare time he has, he never chooses to watch movies. Only when I make him.
When the food is gone, and we’re lying in bed, I email my realtor with the link to the house and tell them this is the one I want, as long as it passes inspection and there is nothing seriously wrong with it. I’ll put work and money into it, but I’m not buying something that’s not going to be worth the money.
I run my fingers through Étienne’s hair as his head rests on my chest.
“Are you sure you’re okay moving away from your family?”
He turns his head to look at me. “I would do anything for you.”
I love it when he says sweet things like that. It warms my heart.
“I know that, but are you sure you’re okay with it? This needs to be something you want, too.”
“There is nothing more I want in this world than to be with you always, Connor. And not just for your fat cock.” He grins, and I roll my eyes. “I love you, and I want to be with you. I want us to have a family.”
I can’t help but smile and pull him in for another kiss.
“I would love that.”
Epilogue
Étienne
One month later…
Everything is going great with the house. We’ve signed all the paperwork, paid for it, and now we’re just waiting for the furniture to arrive so we can officially be moved in. Not that we’ll spend much time there during the on season, but at least we can say we have a home. Roman and Nico are already settled, and I’ve been so jealous that they have a house and we don’t.
That’s not why I pushed for this house, by the way. I really did love the pool and the way the backyard was set up. Connor wasn’t wrong about the wallpaper being ugly, but I also wasn’t lying about making a little porno film to get the wallpaper changed. Let’s see if he actually goes through with it.
I’ll give it to him, he does go along with a lot of my antics, and it’s one of the things I love most about him. He lets me be me, as wild as I can be. And he still loves me, even though I say and do some pretty weird things. But that’s what true love is.
We’re in Colorado to play a game against the Diamonds.
Connor’s old team. He was signed to the Tornadoes, along with Roman, at the end of last season. No one can believe they both got signed to the same team, but it just worked out that way.
While we’re in town for the game, Connor wants to visit his mother. It’ll be the first time I’m meeting her, and I’m honestly a little scared. I don’t know anything about Alzheimer's, but Connor has told me that she's gotten pretty angry a few times. I’d hate to see her get upset with him or even me. But I guess we will see how it goes.
From the outside, the residential facility is beautiful. There are multiple buildings on the land, all bright colors with lots of trees and bushes in the yard. There are benches and paths to walk. It’s picture perfect.
The inside is exactly the same. He wasn’t lying when he said he found the best for his mother. This place looks like a vacation.
We check in, getting visitor tags so others know we are supposed to be here.
“You know where you’re going, right, Mr. McVoy?” the clerk asks in a way that tells me she’s familiar with him, and not because he’s famous. But because he comes here often.
