I was about to see my lady and nothing was going to kill my vibe.

It’d been a while since I’d caught up with Dana and Joe here on Sated’s rooftop bar. SatisFya had taken up so much of our time.
Whilst I’d been the main point of contact for everyone involved, including the authors, narrators, audio and tech teams, Joe’s department were in charge of organising the announcement event alongside the press office and curating a killer guest list to help create as much excitement for the app as possible.
Everything was going brilliantly. SatisFya was almost complete. We had dozens of stories already written and recorded, including the one narrated by Jake Myers. He just needed to do the personalisation.
When I wasn’t working, I’d spent every spare moment with Blake.
The last three months had been a whirlwind.
Living together was pure bliss.
Each night once I’d finished work, I’d meet Geoff who’d take me to the penthouse. Then he’d return later to collect Blake and bring him home.
We’d have dinner together, usually something his chef had prepared, before curling up on the sofa reading, or chatting, before he’d inevitably carry me to bed.
At the weekends, we’d either relax at the penthouse and watch romcoms (I’d now seen every film on Joe’s popular culture list, yay!) and play Monopoly, Pictionary or Scrabble. Or we’d drive to his cottage or fly to Spain so we could kiss and hold hands freely in public.
Tonight we’d be going back to Marbella and I couldn’t wait.
I glanced at my watch.
I really should get going soon.
Ten more minutes and I’d definitely have to leave.
Excitement fizzed in my stomach.
I’d been counting down the hours to see Blake.
It felt like days since I was in his arms, even though it was this morning.
‘Bet you’re both excited for Tuesday!’ Dana sipped her cocktail.
‘Yep!’ A smile spread across my face.
‘I’m looking forward to it, but at the same time, I can’t wait for it to be over.’ Joe sighed. ‘It’s just been stressful. A shitload of people want to come, which is great, but there’s been so much back and forth on the guest list. It’s the biggest event I’ve managed for Sated and I know there’s a lot riding on it, so I need to make it a success. Then I can relax and drink my body weight in champagne! Speaking of which, I need another drink.’
Joe went to stand, but I pulled him back down.
‘No!’ I hoisted my red handbag onto the table. ‘I’m getting the next round. No arguments. But I have to leave soon.’
‘Got another weekend away with your hot man?’ Dana grinned.
‘Yeah.’ My cheeks heated.
I felt bad that I still hadn’t told them I was dating Blake and instead had to refer to him as my mystery man, but I didn’t have a choice. Hopefully when we’d successfully launched SatisFya, we could go public. But for now, we had to keep our relationship under wraps.
‘Lucky thing! I wish a hottie would whisk me away for weekends like yours does,’ Dana grumbled.
‘Same, girl, same,’ Joe said.
‘Have you had the whole DTR talk yet?’ Dana asked.
