‘Yes. I was going to email it to you in the morning, but I can remember most of them. D.D. Desire was an obvious one. I know that she writes steamy romance, not erotica, but hopefully she’d be up for trying something new?’

‘I’ll speak to her too. We have a good relationship. And I agree. She’d be the perfect choice. Her name would draw a huge audience to the app.’

I listed several other Sated authors and we discussed each in turn.

‘Knock, knock,’ Valerie’s voice came from the door. ‘Do you need anything else, sir?’

‘No, that’s all for tonight, thank you. See you tomorrow.’

‘Good night.’ Valerie flashed us both a warm smile, closed the door, then headed to the lift.

As the ping of the lift doors closing sounded, we both fell silent.

Our eyes locked.

Electricity crackled in the air.

I bit my lip.

I knew last night was supposed to be a one-off, but I really wanted him.

So much.

I wanted him to bend me over his sofa again.

And I wanted to go down on him.

It was very bad manners for me to have not returned the favour last night after he’d eaten me out so skilfully.

My thoughts turned to that scene in the first spicy book I read where the main character gave the stranger a blow job.

That was so hot.

I wanted to do that to Mr Devlin.

Although I knew I wasn’t very good at it, I couldn’t expect to improve if I didn’t put in the work.

Practice makes perfect, right?

‘So,’ Mr Devlin broke the silence. ‘That was all I wanted to discuss about the app for today. Unless there was something else you needed?’ His gaze dropped to my chest, lingered, then moved to my lips before returning to my eyes.

I could leave the office right now. Go home. Read some books.

Or I could stay. Suggest that he helped me with my needs and create the next chapter of my own sexual adventure…

My heart thudded against my ribcage as I plucked up the courage to be brave.

Again.

I supposed the worst that could happen was that Mr Devlin kicked me out of his office. At least he’d be leaving for Paris tomorrow, so there’d be no risk of bumping into him for a few days.

‘My needs aren’t strictly work related,’ I said, testing the water. ‘So would the offer to help me still stand?’

The corner of his mouth twitched and he leant forward.
