Oh…

I didn’t mean to look, but it was right in front of me so…

And not to sound bad or anything, but it wasn’t at all what I’d expected.

With all of those muscles, I assumed he’d be rocking a monster dick. But it was more mini chipolata than a thick meaty sausage if you catch my drift.

That was clearly what Kayleigh was referring to when she said she could barely feel anything… yikes.

This was one of the weirdest moments of my life.

I couldn’t believe I was standing in a cabin, arguing with the man who was supposed to be my soulmate after I’d caught him fucking another woman.

It was wrong on so many levels.

Bile rose in my throat. But not because I was upset at the betrayal; after all, I’d planned to call time on things later anyway. But mainly because of how sordid this all was.

I didn’t feel great about the fact that I’d stayed for as long as I had either and, trust me, it wasn’t because I was getting off on it. Quite the opposite.

For too long, men had treated me like shit and because a lot of the time they just ghosted or blocked me, I’d never got the opportunity to confront them and stand up for myself.

That was the only reason I stayed. I knew I had to get everything off my chest right there and then before I walked away.

Kayleigh wrapped the bed sheet around her and attempted to leave.

‘Whoa, not so fast.’ Noah blocked her path. ‘Don’t you have anything to say? Like an apology or an explanation?’

‘What’s there to explain?’ She rolled her eyes. ‘We were horny, the bed was there, so we decided to fuck. What’s the big deal? It’s not like you were putting out. Have you seen my body?’ Kayleigh promptly dropped the sheet and stood there proudly, as naked as the day she was born.

I wished I had her confidence.

‘Beautiful.’ Adonis licked his lips as he sat up on the bed and ogled her.

‘Most men would kill to fuck me.’ Kayleigh put her hands on her hips. ‘Since our first date at the restaurant, I offered myself on a silver platter to you, Noah! And you didn’t even try to kiss me! We’ve been here four days. That’s three whole nights! And nothing! I had to get it from somewhere.’

Wait, what?

This was news to me. I assumed that Noah had been shagging Kayleigh from the start.

Mind. Blown.

‘You’re talking about three nights like it’s been three months!’ Noah protested. ‘I’m a gentleman. I didn’t want to rush things.’

‘Rush?’ She laughed. ‘That’s your excuse?’ She picked up the sheet and wrapped it around herself again. ‘You’re even more deluded than I thought. You need to wake up. You’re clearly obsessed with her.’

Kayleigh’s gaze snapped in my direction.

Huh?

‘That’s not…’ Noah paused.

‘We’re just friends!’ I added, still trying to process Kayleigh’s accusation.

‘Bollocks! You’re more than just friends! You’re both in bloody denial. If you weren’t obsessing over whether or not poor little Ali was okay, then you were talking about her or staring at her. And don’t even get me started on your silly little back in the day stories or sending sodding postcards to each other “tradition”! It’s pathetic!’ Kayleigh snapped.

‘Noah’s just protective!’ I jumped in. Kayleigh was talking a load of rubbish and I needed to let her know that. ‘I’ve been through things. Difficult things. That’s why I don’t like window seats or cars at great heights. It’s got nothing to do with—’

‘Bore someone else with your sob story.’ Kayleigh rolled her eyes again. ‘I don’t have time for this. Deny it all you want; I’m past caring. I can’t wait to get off this fucking boat and find some decent dick.’ She glared at Adonis, dropped her gaze between his legs, then shook her head with disappointment before picking her bikini off the floor, then storming into the toilet.
