Bastard. Now he couldn’t wait to help me.
Other than my irritation at how two-faced and greedy he was, I didn’t care about the jewelry at all. If the price to see Romeo again was everything I owned, I would’ve gladly paid it.
“For this to work,” I reminded him, “you’re going to have to stay on the night shift.”
Eugenio glanced at my jewelry box and smiled like a fox who’d found a secret passageway into the henhouse. “I think I can manage that.”
Yeah, I’ll BET you can.
Eugenio presented me with a brand new iPhone the very next afternoon.
Earlier that morning, I had watched a YouTube video on how to scrub my search history. Not that Eugenio could have used my viewing habits as blackmail – I still held the upper hand in that regard – but I didn’t want him knowing what I’d been watching. The fact that it might excite him gave me the willies.
UGH.
I’d already deleted Romeo’s dick pics, the phone records of our calls –
And the pictures of me topless.
No way Creepy Porky Pig was going to keep those.
“Can you sneak me out tonight?” I asked Eugenio as I handed him his phone.
“Yes,” he said happily. He was a lot more enthusiastic since I’d given him all that gold.
“Can I leave earlier this time?”
His eye twitched. “How much earlier?”
“How about eight o’clock?”
“You’re killing me,” he moaned.
“I’m also making it very worth your while.”
He sighed, then nodded. “Alright… meet me at eight, and I’ll make it happen.”
I used my new phone to call Romeo around 5 PM. He sounded overjoyed to hear from me.
I was super paranoid about my new phone, so I kept the call short and sweet.
He agreed to meet me at the same hotel – and he even suggested dinner! A real date!
When he asked what I wanted to eat, I said seductively, “I’m looking forward to putting a thick piece of meat in my mouth.”
That turned him on –
But I heard my father’s voice out in the hallway and had to hang up.
I hid the phone between my mattress and the bed frame…
And then lay back on the bed and dreamed about what I was going to wear.
Eight o’clock couldn’t come soon enough.
And neither could I (haha).
