Spectacular.
This woman. What am I going to do with you?
I have some ideas.
I do too.
When can we move on to phase two?
Phase two?
Phase one was shirts off, so I’m assuming phase two is...
Their banter had his blood pumping so hard he knew he’d end up taking matters into his own hands. Bottoms off, he typed.
I can’t wait.
Same here. He placed his hand over his erection and wondered where her hand was.
I have to go now.
So soon?
I have a pressing matter to take care of.
He envisioned her slipping her hand inside her panties. Me too.
Think of me.
Already am.
Good night, Hudson.
Good night, Kelsey. Talk soon.
Now that was one promise he knew he would keep.
Fifteen
Kelsey was preparing snacks for the book club meeting when the doorbell rang. She didn’t even have to look through the peephole to know it was Stacy, who was always the first to arrive.
She swung open the door and greeted her friend. “I’m so glad you’re here.”
“Is everything okay? You sounded flustered on the phone.”
“Yes, I’m fine. Come on in.”
Stacy set her purse on the table by the door and followed her into the kitchen. Kelsey handed her a bag of pretzels and a bowl, and she immediately pitched in.
“What’s going on? You look like you have something to tell me.”
“I do.”
“So, spill.”
She summarized her date with Hudson, starting with dinner, continuing with bumping into Jared, and ending with their make-out session. She omitted some of the more intimate details, not because she was embarrassed, but for the sake of time. She wanted to get it all out before the other book club members arrived.
“That must have been rough,” said Stacy. “The part about Jared, not the make-out session.”
