Too Good to Be True

Smooth caramel skin, a smattering of dark, curly hair, and a broad wall of muscle greeted her. She ran her hands over his chest, appreciating his maleness. “I imagined this too,” she admitted.

“Yeah?”

She nodded. “Earlier tonight, as a matter of fact.”

“Tell me.”

“I can’t. It’s embarrassing.”

He chuckled. “You’re sitting on my erection. How embarrassing can it be?”

She laughed, and he leaned forward and kissed her smiling lips.

“Tell me,” he repeated.

He was right. What did she have to lose at this point? “Okay. Remember when we got caught in the rain?”

“Of course. It was one of the best days of my life.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, but please continue.”

“Well, I reimagined the ending a little bit.”

“How so?”

She licked her lips, and his eyes tracked her tongue.

“I imagined you didn’t have a change of clothes and you came into my bedroom in a towel.”

“Did you pull off the towel, throw me down on your bed, and have your wicked way with me?”

She laughed. “I didn’t get to that part.”

“But did you want to?”

His beautiful brown eyes implored her, and she couldn’t resist. “Yes.”

“My favorite word in the English language.”

In a quick move, he flopped back on the couch and pulled her down on top of him. For the next several minutes, they went at each other like horny teenagers (if her memory served her right).

The rain continued to beat against the roof and windows, accompanying the beat of their hearts and drowning out their moans. Hands roamed, lips nibbled, and tongues tangled until the heat between them was almost too much to bear.

She suddenly pulled back and gazed down at him with wonder and desire. “Do you want to see my new bedding?”

He grinned, and his eyes danced with mirth. “Only ever since you picked it out.”

“Let’s go.”

She scrambled off him. He picked up his shirt from the floor and followed her to the staircase. She paused before going up.

“Something wrong?” he asked.

“I’m a terrible hostess. I never asked if you wanted something to drink.”

He tipped his head back and belted out a loud laugh. “Drinking is the last thing on my mind right now, but thank you.”
