She jerked her head up and locked eyes with him. He’d worn a blue shirt like she’d suggested, and it brought out the brilliant blue color of his eyes. “What are you thinking?” she asked, though she had a pretty good idea.
“I happen to know the boss, and although he can be a dork sometimes, he’s also a pretty decent guy.”
“I agree,” She beamed up at him.
“I don’t think he’d mind if we…reconnected before we went to work.”
“Reconnected, huh? I like the sound of that.”
“Lead the way.”
She glanced at the front door to make sure he’d locked it, and then she took his hand and led him down the hall to her bedroom.
Once they were inside, he looked around the room, his eyes alighting on the sweatshirt he’d given her. She’d been sleeping with it, but she was too embarrassed to tell him that.
“Aren’t you afraid Maria will see it?”
“She already has.”
“And?”
“And I told her you loaned it to me in Flagstaff and I haven’t gotten around to returning it yet. Are we going to stand around talking about your sister?”
“Hell, no!”
“Good.” She put her fingers on the top button of his polo shirt, and he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close.
“I’ve always wanted to do this—undress you.”
“Always?”
“Well, you know, since we first…”
“Mm-hmm.”
She untucked his shirt from his dress pants and carefully pulled it up and off. Then she splayed her hands over his broad chest.
“You haven’t changed at all since high school. You’re still in great shape.”
“I’ve changed some.”
She smiled as she skimmed her hands down his torso and found the button of his slacks. He sucked in a breath while she unbuttoned and unzipped them, his erection straining against his blue briefs.
“You said to wear blue,” he teased.
“I’m glad you listened.”
She tucked her fingers into the sides of his pants and underwear and started to ease them down. When his erection sprang free, she licked her lips and dropped to her knees.
“Morgan?”
“I like seeing you like this and knowing it’s because of me.”
“It is.”
He stepped out of his pants, and she pushed them aside and looked up at him.
“I never thought… I still can’t believe…”
