She shook her head vehemently. “We’re done talking.”

Then they crashed into each other, and it was like a dam had just broken, and the water came rushing out.

He picked her up, and she wrapped her legs around his waist while he backed them up to the bed. Once he’d set her down, he realized they still had their hiking shoes on. He kicked his off, and she did the same, and then she lay back on the bed.

He gazed down at her in disbelief for a moment, and she smiled up at him. “We’re really doing this,” he said, sounding like an awestruck teenager.

“Not if you don’t hurry.”

He chuckled and started peeling off his clothes. He’d already ditched his sweatshirt in the car, so next came his T-shirt. He’d just thrown it off when he realized Morgan was stripping too and he’d almost missed it.

“Keep going.” She reached around her back and unhooked her bra.

He fumbled with the button on his cargo shorts, too entranced by the sight before him to pay attention to what he was doing. In the meantime, she removed her bra and tossed it off the bed, where it joined their growing pile of clothes.

“Holy…”

She smiled again but then motioned for him to keep moving. Finally, he got his shorts unbuttoned and unzipped, and he was stepping out of them while she shimmied out of her exercise pants. Only, she’d pulled her panties off too, and now she was lying there completely naked. ON. HIS. BED.

He felt more winded then than he had at the highest point on Fatman’s Loop, and he forced himself to take a couple of deep breaths. Looking amused, she shifted to her side, rested her head on her hand, and waited.

He hooked his fingers into the sides of his dark blue briefs and prepared himself for the big reveal. Big. All men liked to think of themselves that way, but wasn’t it really the woman’s opinion that mattered?

“Ohhh…” she said as he slid his underwear down his legs and then stepped out of them.

He stood there for a few seconds while her gaze swept over his body, and when their eyes met, he saw everything he wanted to see—desire, appreciation, and lust.

He climbed onto the bed and lay on his side so they were facing each other. Then he gently traced the outline of her form with his hand, starting at her curly blonde head and working his way down.

“Is this too clinical?” he teased as he trailed his fingertips over her heated skin.

“No.”

She leaned in and kissed him, and he let her take the lead this time. She gently kissed his lips—soft, unhurried kisses that were tender yet passionate. He cupped her face to hold her in place, reveling in their closeness.

She moaned against his lips, and he couldn’t hold back anymore. Nudging her lips apart, he slipped his tongue inside to tangle with hers. He moved a hand to the small of her back and pressed her pelvis to his, seeking the friction he so desperately needed.

At this rate, he wasn’t going to last long. Everything felt too good. She felt too good.

Just then, she pulled back. “Do you have…?”

“In my toiletries bag.”

“Get it.”

“Already?”

“I don’t want to wait,” she implored.

Ordinarily, he liked to take his time, build the anticipation, and make sure the woman was good and ready for him. But gazing into her beautiful eyes, he saw that those things were already in place. They’d been building up to this all weekend, and probably even before. Besides, there was a very real risk that his parents would come home soon, and he didn’t want to be interrupted. The thought of getting caught brought back bad memories from his teen years, but it was even more daunting now with her.

“Be right back.”

“Hurry.”

He’d rarely heard a woman say that, but then Morgan wasn’t your average woman. He smiled at that as he suited up.

When he came back into the bedroom, he was somewhat surprised to see her sitting up. For a brief second, he feared she’d changed her mind, but then she crooked her index finger at him and patted the mattress.
