Kenzie cackled as Tati skirted off, “I can’t believe they letting him roam the streets!”
“Tell me about it.”
Tati chuckled, “How the fuck that nigga get out, G?”
“That still has yet to be revealed. Ugh! Let me tell y’all what he said!”
Instead of rehashing the argument, I just vented instead. He’s not wrong at all so there’s no reason for me to get in here and play it down like he was. Regardless, my fucking feelings are hurt. This shit is really the worst case scenario. I whined and complained all the way to Irie Jerk in Calumet Park.
“I really just love y’all!” Kenzie smiled. “Y’all really do love each other, Cassie. It couldn’t be perfect forever. Something was going to happen for y’all to work through.”
“Yeah, I have no doubt he’ll do everything he said he was!” Tatianna agreed.
We got out, quickly heading in and sitting by the window. The girls laughed and talked about whatever they were laughing and talking about. I ordered some jerk chicken, macaroni and cabbage. Also a big ass drink. I didn’t tap into the conversation until Tati brought up Dean.
“OUUUU DEAN!” I yelled. “How the fuck did I forget about him?!”
“It’s been a lot going on! He wants to take me on a date. I ain’t been on a date in forever!”
Devyn screwed her face up, “You said you was on a date last week?”
“Baby, the date started at 12am and ended at 3am.” Kenzie and I started cackling. “If you call a three hour freakshow a date, then I was on a date then.”
I looked at her, “Where does he wanna take you?”
“That’s the thing. He wants to go to a basketball game with his three friends and asked me to bring my three.”
Kenzie, Devyn, and I all started tweeting at the same time. Tati waved her hand, rolling her eyes and dismissing us. Does she not understand they let Jason leave Camp Crystal Lake?
“Now bitch...” is all I said while shaking my head.
Kenzie laughed, “My YN more crazy now than ever!”
“Imagine the shot clock counting down and then the whole shit explode at zero...” Devyn said with a straight face.
“Devyn, I can’t believe you haven’t hunched Man-Man!” Kenzie sipped her drink as they were sat down. I did the same.
“OH! She wants us to call him Duuukeeee!” I poked her sides, feeling tipsy myself.
Even in front of the waiter sitting our food down, Tati loud ass smacked her lips.
“Baby, you cannot change that man from Man-Man to Duke. You at least gotta fuck him before he go legit, on my dead deddy.”
“We were just taking it slow!”
I shrugged, “Maybe that’s why he’s been letting you take going on two months to get yourself together. His big, crusty ass probably knew K3 was going to get out early and wanted to hand shit back over to him once he did.”
Tatianna kicked me under the table. I realized my angry rant did little to no good with Miss Devyn. Especially since she was looking for a reason to be more mad at him.
“Is he hood or not?!” Devyn asked, confused.
“Duke was raised with his brother. He truly laid back but he’s always willing to rise to the occasion,” is all I offered. “I’m pretty sure when you stop being a pussy and talk to him, he’ll tell you. I don’t keep up with that nigga.”
“Well, you should. He’s really sweet and funny...” she smiled softly.
I almost choked on my food trying to treat this hoe, “UH-UH, UH-UH! BITCH! DON’T BE DEFENDING ANYONE FROM THAT BLOODLINE TO ME!”
I rolled my eyes and continued to eat as she explained her reasoning. Mind you, I been knowing the man for seven years. But of course she knows him in a more intimate way, so I was eating up everything she spilled about them two. The way they met. Their dates.
