“Don’t you dare touch me like that,” Blair demanded, though she couldn’t be sure how clear she was speaking. Her heart was pounding so loud, her whole body quivering. She might have been whispering or shouting for all her body’s clues were worth.
Peter grappled with her legs, trying to pin her knees to the mattress. “Stop fighting me, I have to know if my little girl’s been unfaithful,” Peter said through gritted teeth.
His sex toy store restraints were made for a person larger than Blair, giving her enough movement to knee him in the sides since he couldn’t hold down both legs at once. She was spread enough for him to check her vaginally if he chose, but her movements would make it hard for him to tell. Blair couldn’t imagine he was a professional hymen checker. Though he was a sick enough bastard.
He could easily do what he wanted if he lay on her. She didn’t want that.
“Peter, please. I don’t want anything inside of me. I wouldn’t be pure anymore. You taught me that. Why do you want to ruin me that way?” she begged, the disgusting sentiment a lie, but her tears were real enough.
He paused fighting, sitting back on his heels. Once he stilled, Blair was disgusted to see that he was aroused, his erection straining against his trousers. Ignoring his obvious delight in her struggles, she tried again to reason with him.
“I’m still the innocent girl you’ve always known, Peter. The one you taught everything. Yes, I love Daniel, but I love all my friends. We grew up together, but I grew up with you too.” Ignoring the nausea churning her belly at the lies, Blair did her best to look innocent.
Childlike.
“I have lied to you, Peter, and I feel terrible, but I didn’t want anyone to know.” That got his attention, his focus leaving from between her legs back to her face. He moved where he was sitting next to her again.
He grabbed her face, hurting her and surely leaving marks, but Blair didn’t shake him off. “What have you lied about?” he sneered, assuming she was going to admit to sleeping with Daniel.
She sighed and allowed a few tears to slide down her cheeks. “I went to see the doctor on campus because my stomach has hurt me for weeks.”
“I know. I followed you there.”
That chilled Blair, but she acted unfazed. “They ran some tests. I have Endometriomas. Some cysts have grown on the outside of my uterus. The cysts are large and painful and make my stomach look awful and feel awful.
“I have an appointment in Scotland next week with a specialist. The surgery isn’t bad, but I do need to have them taken out. My stomach will go back to normal once they’re removed,” she added, like she was hopeful that would make him happy.
He cupped her small bump, and she shivered in fear but held still.
“Are you in pain, little one?”
She nodded and sniffled. “Not always, but there are days…” she said and shrugged.
“We may not be back in time for your appointment in Scotland, but once you’re recommitted to me, I’ll take you to a doctor here in Tulsa. I don’t want you hurting, and I’m glad you’ve been honest with me. Except,” he hesitated with his hands partially raised, “why are your breasts different?”
“Hormones.”
And then he laid his hands over them, cupping her flesh, squeezing and kneading and pinching her small nipples. Blair felt like she was suffocating but didn’t pull away.
“You’ve made me so happy, Blair. Now that I know you haven’t been indulging in deviant behavior and that you’ll go back to normal, I’ll let you eat. I’ll order food. In the meantime,” he started, standing up and removing his clothes, “let’s take a nap. I need to hold you and know you’re mine.”
“That sounds good,” she lied. Once naked, he stood and practically preened as she looked at his body.
He was still erect.

DANIEL
They landed at Tulsa International Airport six hours ago, and Daniel had paced miles across his hotel room for five of those hours. The first hour had been a debriefing with Detective Jeffreys at the Tulsa Police Department.
Coll was on a conference call with the team here in town and with Thomas MacGregor. Daniel’s dad was on the phone with Patrick, the time distance working to their advantage. Ulf was brooding, arms crossed, Daniel’s mom and aunt Rowan on either side.
Catriona was sitting by the balcony window looking out, her heart probably searching the cityscape for her daughter. It hurt to look at Cat. Blair was made in her mother’s image. Lachlann and Laith were Cat’s shadows.
The computer analysts that MacGregor Security sent to Tulsa lost Samson’s trail hours earlier and were diligently combing through camera feeds across the city, giving him plenty of time to think.
His mind shied away from what Samson might be doing to Blair. Instead, he tried to recall the few things that she had told him about the man.
