The sensation of fullness made her grip tighten on him, a small sound leaving her as her body reacted—uncertain at first but adjusting.

Daniel froze, every muscle in his body going still when he met her innocent resistance.

“Blair—”

She shook her head quickly, her hand coming up to his jaw to keep him from pulling away.

“I’m okay,” she signed, attempting to slide him further in, her movements small but sure. “Don’t stop.”

He searched her face one more time, making absolutely certain.

Then he continued—just as slowly, just as deliberately—letting her body adjust, giving her time, his forehead pressing to hers as he breathed through the restraint it clearly cost him.

The greenhouse felt impossibly warm now, the air thick, the world narrowed to the space between them.

Blair’s tension gradually eased, shifting into something else, something softer, more open. Her hands moved again, exploring, holding him closer, her body responding in a way that made his control slip just a fraction.

“God…Christ, Blair…” he breathed, the words vibrating through their connection.

His patience was limitless, and she thanked the Lord for that because even with his tenderness, her small, untried body was giving him everything she had.

Instead, he stayed with her, building it slowly, letting every movement mean something—until the uncertainty gave way to heat, to connection, to something that felt theirs entirely.

And then finally, finally, finally her body gave up the fight and accepted all of him—and all of him probably meant limping tomorrow.

Blair’s head tipped back against the cushions, her fingers clutching at him as the sensations became overwhelming in a different way now—stronger, sharper, her body learning, responding.

Daniel followed her, his pace finally shifting, but still anchored in her reactions, in her rhythm, in her.

“Stay with me,” he murmured, brushing his mouth against hers again.

She pulled him down, kissing him harder this time. No hesitation now, only need. How had she ever lived her life without this? Truly though, it wasn’t so much the act, which was proving amazing, but more to do with the man.

And that was when Daniel let go, rearing back, his fingers digging into her hips and ass as his thrusts came harder, faster.

She could feel the deep vibrations of her moans as they sprang from her mouth, uncaring for once of how she sounded. If Daniel’s reaction to her noises and movements was an indication, they pleased him.

“I’m close, baby. Come with me,” he demanded, reaching between her legs, his talented fingers finished where his body had been leading.

The moment she felt herself throb and clench, Daniel leaned over, bringing their chests close. He gripped her chin and forced their eyes to remain locked while her orgasm rushed through her limbs.

He thrust hard four more times before her hands gripped his sides, and she felt his body stiffen, vibrate, rumble.

He jerked inside her, over and over and over again.

And now she understood what her friends meant when they said sex was addictive. Hell yes, it was! Never had she felt so much, experienced so much.

Daniel had changed her simply and completely.

“I had no idea,” she weakly whispered to Daniel, who was doing his best not to crush her beneath his big body.

He leaned back so she could read his lips. “It's me that had no idea.”

At her disbelieving chuckle and eye roll, he grew serious. “No, Blair. I truly didn’t know it could be that way. It is you and me. Us. Together.”

She would be lying if she said her heart didn’t pound harder at his words. Daniel wasn’t a liar. He meant what he said, and what he said was everything.

He moved off her body and grasped the condom’s base. “I better—”
