Their Final Score: Untouched, Vol 6 of 6

I breathe in Luke’s sultry scent and think about later, which is preferable to worrying about the impending attack. If everything goes right for us, we won’t have to worry about anything.
I’ll have all five of my guys to please and to please me. What could happen in the limo back to Caden’s house? Scenarios race through my mind. The things we can do once we get to Caden’s room and our bed. Anticipation of the pleasure that awaits me makes my blood boil.
We just have to make it a little bit longer, and then we’ll be free. For at least tonight. Just get through the next hour. One hour. And then the guys are all mine.
Jack
When I come back from the bathroom, I pause as my gaze falls on Luke and Harper dancing. My heart feels full watching them. I’m a part of that. If we lost any of us, this wouldn’t work. Our broken pieces fit together to make the whole Harper needs.
“No sign of Zach Gray.” Darius steps up beside me with his arms crossed.
I drag in a breath. “No. Not yet.”
Darius could round them all up if we find evidence that could hold them. Possibly. Unless it gets thrown out because of how it was obtained.
“If I have evidence, could you use it against someone?” I turn and his dark eyes are focused on the dance floor, but he’s considering my question.
“If someone gives me footage anonymously that shows a crime being committed, I might be able to use it. However, it would have to be someone else who violated the other person’s privacy and not something I told the violator to do. Which, depending on the person, could be difficult to prove that I didn’t influence it.” Darius sighs and runs a frustrated hand over his face like when a play goes wrong on the football field. “If you have evidence, it would have to go through the proper channels. And just having this conversation where someone could overhear could be attributed to me condoning your actions.”
I nod solemnly. “Good thing I’m not the kind to do anything illegal then.”
I give him a smirk.
He shakes his head with a weary smile. “But if it confirms what we already suspect, it could be useful. Even if the evidence never makes it to court.”
“I’ll take that into consideration.” I give him a half smile. “If someone wants to turn in something anonymously.”
Darius smiles briefly before turning back toward the stage where they’re preparing to crown the Homecoming king and queen. My stomach ties in knots. If Zach has a plan, it’s happening during the presentation. I’m not sure how, but I know I won’t let Harper out of my sight. It’ll be up to me to have my eyes on everyone else, but my ultimate goal is to keep her safe.
Hopefully, with Sidney not here, whatever commotion she planned won’t go into action. That seemed to be part of Zach’s plan. But then why include Sidney last night, knowing she’d get in trouble too?
“You worried?” Darius asks with a raised eyebrow. His hand reaches for my shoulder, but he hesitates to touch me. If we hadn’t been involved and I was just another football player, he wouldn’t have hesitated.
I step to the side, increasing the distance between us and grin. “Why would I have a worry? I’m not up for king. I don’t have to parade around like a peacock for the masses.”
“Something tells me you would have enjoyed that part.” His eyes soften.
“Probably.” I shrug and glance toward our table.
Caden scowls in this direction, and I sigh. Yeah, I need to give the assistant coach a wide berth from now on.
“See ya.” I tip two fingers Darius’s way and then return to our table.
Caden grabs my arm as I go to walk around him. His voice is low and meant for only me. “You want to explain to me what that was all about?”
“Me talking to the assistant coach?” I glance back at Darius before meeting Caden’s eyes. “Seems like a fairly normal thing to do.”
“Maybe if he hadn’t sucked your cock,” Caden all but growls.
“Fuck.” I glance around, but there’s no one nearby. The music shifts to another slow song, but I don’t think Luke and Harper even notice that the song changed. He has her for now. This can’t wait. I grab Caden’s arm and tug him with me.
When we step out into the hallway, the doors shut behind us, cutting us off from the others. There’s no one else out here, and this is one of the hallways that doesn’t have any classrooms attached where someone could be lurking, just a bunch of lockers.
“Are you going to get back with him?” Caden’s eyes are narrowed on me. “Do you know what that would do to Harper? How destroyed she’d be if she lost any of us?”
“It’s not like that.” I run a hand through my hair and glance at the doors. We don’t have much time, but I can’t have Caden thinking there’s something more than a common goal between me and the coach. We both want to take down who’s behind the drug ring in this town.
The principal is going to make the announcement soon. We have to be in there for that. I have to be there to protect Harper.
