“I’ll bring you breakfast.” he glances at my naked body, and my cheeks flush. “I don’t want anyone seeing you like this.”
Then, he leaves.
With a yawn, I sit up, then wince. The pain shoots through my body, but the longer I sit in one position, it lessens. I wrap the sheets around my body and reach for my phone, only to see that I have thirty missed calls from Grace.
My brows furrow, and I immediately call her back on the video call. She doesn’t call that many times in a row unless it’s something important, and my heart sinks to my feet.
“Finally!” She answers. “Where the hell have you been?!”
I smile sheepishly. “You know… busy. What’s wrong?”
“Oh, I have something to tell you!” She laughs. She’s somewhere I can’t exactly pinpoint. It’s not at the Academy, but behind her is all green, which makes me raise a brow.
“What happened?”
“So, you know how Sophia got sent to the camp for her suspension?”
“Right,” I nod.
“Well, Soren’s here, too! For his suspension, and guess what Sophia and I did last night!”
“Oh, God,” I breathe out. “Dare I ask?”
Grace squeals, her eyes lighting up. She glances around, ensuring no one’s around, then leans in. All I can see is her forehead and her eyes, and quite frankly, I’m slightly terrified.
“We spiked the drinks, then Sophia tattooed him in his sleep.”
A moment passes.
Then another one.
And another one.
“She did what?!” I scream.
I don’t know why I’m surprised. It’s so Sophia to do something as reckless and as stupid as that. If it means getting revenge on Soren? She throws caution to the wind, and she doesn’t seem to care that consequences exist.
Add the fact that Grace’s involved, and it’s a disaster.
“Uhuh!” Grace pulls the phone back, beaming. “It was phenomenal! I’ll send you the pictures.”
“I’d rather you not,” I drawl out. “Do I want to know what she tattooed on him?”
“Property of Sophia Sloane,” she quotes, and my brows shoot up to my hairline.
“You two are batshit insane. He can sue for that!”
“If he can prove it happened, sure,” Grace shrugs. “But he’ll rather get even than do something as petty as to sue her. The rest of the year is going to be so entertaining.”
“I just want to know why you were there.” My brows narrow in suspicion. Grace wasn’t suspended, and there was no need for her to even go to the camp.
She smiles sheepishly. “Sophia needed help, and well, I’m the go-to partner in crime.”
“One of these days, you’ll be sent to prison for a crime,” I point out.
She only rolls her eyes, and another laugh follows. “I’m so eager to see Soren’s reaction to the tattoo. It’s going to be either catastrophic for Sophia, or the highest form of entertainment I’ve had this year.”
“Wait,” I sit up straight, trying to hide my naked body. “He’s still asleep?! You called me without knowing how he'd react? That’s like telling me only half of the gossip, and you’re missing the juiciest part!”
