I look up at him, and he doesn’t look away from my eyes. Deliberately, his hands travel under my shirt, resting just as they were a moment ago. I shudder under his fingertips, and a small smirk tugs on the corner of his lips.

His fingers gently roll up my shirt, revealing my bare stomach. He stares at the bared piece of flesh, as if it’s his first time seeing it, before looking back at me. Then, he leans in, pressing a soft, gentle kiss right above my bellybutton.

“Sir,” I breathe out, the word barely above a whisper. He’s not listening to me, or rather, he isn’t hearing me and instead, he continues to pepper kisses all over my exposed stomach, each softer than the previous one.

“You’re not running away this time, my sweet girl,” he murmurs against my skin, and electricity runs up and down my spine. My stomach twists, and turns in anticipation, I find myself at a loss for words.

My sweet girl.

God, it sounds so sinful coming from his lips. It sounds so loving, filled with affection, yet the underlying threat doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s a risk, laced with honey-sweet words, and I’m so far gone.

With trembling hands, I thread my fingers through his hair. He growls into my skin, goosebumps prickling my skin at the vibrating sensation. When he looks up at me again, his eyes are different — the gentle hue is still there, though it seems overpowered by pure, raw need.

He pulls me to straddle his lap, and immediately kisses me. His hand cradles my neck, stroking my cheek with his thumb. The small hairs stand on the back of my neck, my excitement slowly taking over.

His lips feel velvety against mine, yet the kiss is anything but gentle. It’s firm, controlling, and greedy. Colton isn’t holding back, his tongue darting between my lips, deepening the kiss.

My hands wrap around his neck, and I close the remaining distance between us. It’s suffocating in all the best ways possible. I can’t think straight. Any caution is long gone, out the window, and the fear of getting caught, only fuels the lust I’ve been trying to suppress.

A loud moan comes from me, muffled by the intensity of his lips. Colton bites down on my lip, dragging it between his teeth, before kissing me senseless again. This moment starts to overwhelm me because deep down, I know, that Colton isn’t a man that plays by the rules.

Every trait that I’ve been looking for in men, everything that I needed my man to be, is what Colton is. Someone who knows how to take charge without me having to say it, but knowing when to get softer, too. It’s no wonder my attraction to him was immediate.

His free hand comes down to my thigh, squeezing it roughly. He’s right too — this time, I have nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. I might’ve been able to run after the kiss, since it caught us both off guard. But this time he’s holding me so tightly, and he’s not letting me leave.

I don’t want to leave.

His lips leave mine, and I’m panting, my breathing heavy. His lips move over to my throat, kissing and biting down. My eyes snap shut, and I try to focus on everything that I’m feeling, trying to memorize it all, down

to the last detail.

His teeth glide over my tender skin, his hand getting rougher on my thigh. Then, I squeal as he picks me up with ease, putting me to sit on his desk, and gets between my legs. His eyes are filled with lust, the haziness of them making me want to drown in the look he’s giving me.

Gently, he lowers me to lay down, unbothered that half of his papers have fallen down, scattering all over the floor. He bends a little, kissing my inner thighs. He’s always looking at me — right into my eyes. I know the look, and I know the man would stop the moment I told him to.

Yet, I don’t want him to.

I need Colton more than air I breathe, more than anything else in the world. His fingers hook onto the waistband of my shorts and underwear, and he pulls them off my body in one, swift motion, leaving me exposed to the hunger in his eyes.

“Fuck,” he sucks in a sharp breath. My legs tremble as he lifts them up to his shoulders, and when he inhales, it’s as though I’m nothing more than a prey for the predator that he is. “Your smell is driving me insane, Avalon.”

“Colton,” I breathe out.

His response is to squeeze my thighs tightly, and I gasp at the sudden pain that shoots through my body. His eyes darken a shade, and a small, almost unnoticeable smirk tugs on the corner of his lips.

“That’s not quite right,” he says, his deep voice making my heart skip a beat.

“Sir,” I correct myself, and I can see his eyes quite literally light up.

“That’s my good girl,” he murmurs, then leans in to kiss me.

It’s only a promise of what’s going to come — his lips roughly claiming mine. It’s brief, and it’s not nearly enough. Whenever his lips touch mine, or any part of me, I’m in a state of bliss that I never want to leave.

“Now, spread those pretty legs for me.”

From the night Avalon spent in my office, to the day she was in my home, drinking tea with me in my library, I’ve made a decision to do whatever it takes to make her completely, and entirely mine. Nothing in this world can stop it from happening.
