I twisted my head away, hoping he didn’t see me laugh but knowing he could hear it in my voice. “Okay. We’ll agree to disagree.” I faced him with a carefully crafted bland expression. “Whatever you want to call it, I still think it’s cute.”

“Trouble,” Novak mentally called out to me. “Dom and a few of the Heads want to speak with us.”

Lovely. Just fucking lovely. A little bit longer spent dealing with all the bullshit and I could take a hot shower and throw on some sweatpants and…

“Or leave them off,” Novak purred, giving me bedroom eyes from across the room. “Walk around naked. I can confidently speak for us all when I say that none of us would mind one bit.”

I groaned inwardly, hearing his chuckle as I straightened my posture and strode towards the cluster of vampires. Damn him. Now I’d have to talk to a bunch of old males with highly sensitive noses. For once, I was thankful for a blood filled room. I hoped it was enough to mask how horny all the violence had made me.

Fuck.

Who was I lying to?

I’d been ready to jump any of my mates since before we’d ever left the guest house.

Any of them.

All of them...

In whichever combination I could get them in.

I was like a sex deprived maniac. A psycho nymphomaniac? I guess that was probably the same thing.

I mean, I’d been trying to picture what Briggs’ hard cock would look like for days now. I’d felt Stone, long and proud, against me when he and Novak had me sandwiched between them last week.

My mind was like dick, dick, dick, dick, dick.

And dick.

I couldn’t make it stop. I didn’t know if I wanted to laugh or cry about it. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure what had become of my life anymore. Two weeks ago, my biggest concern had been speed-reading contracts and sitting by myself at the club. Now? My life was an all-you-can-fuck buffet with a serve-your-own-justice dessert cart. Not that I was complaining.

But…

Couldn’t a bitch get some other bitches in her life?

Crude, I know, and I wasn’t going to apologize for it either. Not until Blaire glided to a halt in front of me, stopping my stomp fest. She had a shit-eating grin on her face, and I furrowed my brows, not knowing what to say to her.

“You know,” she began, slow and low. “If you wanted some bitchy friends in your life, all you had to do was ask.”

I blinked. Once. Twice. “What?”

“Every vampire in the room just heard you mentally chanting dick as you were walking.” Blaire scrunched her face up. “The good news is, they all think you were calling someone a dick.”

“Oh, fuck my life right now,” I whispered, appalled and desperately building up my mental barriers.

“Fucked for life,” Blaire corrected me with a smirk. “At least you and Novak have a similar train of thought. He’s always thinking with his dick, and you seem to be thinking awfully hard about it.”

I looked up to the ceiling, trying to find my pride and clean thoughts somewhere in the permanent trash-filled gutter I’d been shoved into. Nothing. Not a useful godsdamn thought was there. My mind was overrun with roosters screeching dick at the sunrise.

When I began to giggle hysterically, Blaire observed me with concern. “Are you okay?”

That was the million dollar question, wasn’t it? Instead of killing my buzz by thinking about an actual answer, I sent her a mental gift. Wrapped in phallus-covered paper, with a bouquet of purple dildos as a bow. And then we were both bent over, giggling like idiots, gripping our stomachs, and gasping for breath.

“Lo,” Jack snapped at me, shifting his eyes from me to the Heads of Vampyre.

“Buzz kill.” I sent him the thought, following it up with the same gift I’d sent to Blaire.

“You’ve officially lost your fucking mind,” he informed me.
