I do a spin.

“Oh, my god, go back inside and get naked!” Clint says. “You are not going out like that! I will have to remove everyone’s eyeballs.”

I laugh, but when I turn to Zaire, it’s like he’s been hit by an anvil.

“How did you get into those jeans?” Clint grumbles.

“Why?”

“Trying to work out how to get you out of them.”

I blush, but isn’t he adorable? It pleases me that they find me so attractive.

“Who wants to go for a walk on the beach?”

Clint scowls. “I can think of other activities that I would prefer to be doing.”

I blink at him, putting on my most innocent expression. “Like what, Alpha? Please explain…in detail.”

Clint opens his mouth, but Felix grabs his forearm, stopping him from talking.

“Are we looking for more rocks?” Felix growls.

“Yes, I still need twenty.”

Clint sighs heavily. “Business? No pleasure?”

I snort a laugh. “That is exactly right. No pleasure for you, Alpha. Suck it up.”

“I’ll suck you up,” Clint says quickly, then takes off running when Felix growls and chases him.

Spectre takes off, prancing and bucking, quickly catching and passing the alpha and omega as he leads the way to the beach. Felix has given up chasing Clint, but it looks like a seagull has taken over.

Felix falls into step with us.

“You know, your dog is kind of intuitive,” Felix says.

“Yeah.”

“What else does he do?”

“To be honest, I’m not even sure. He just keeps surprising me with things. The other day, he opened the fridge and brought me a bottle of water.”

It takes a moment for Zaire to realise we’re all staring at him.

“What?”

“Your dog…opened the fridge and brought you a bottle of water? Were you thirsty?”

Zaire rubs the back of his neck. “Yes, I was. Didn’t know what to do, but he looked so happy, so I just thanked him and took the bottle and drank the water. He went back to sleep.”

Felix laughs and turns to watch the dog digging holes in the sand. “That’s one smart dog.”

“I think he’s human in a fur coat.” Zaire keeps looking at me, which is making me preen. “You look so different,” he murmurs.

“I know. Sorry. I was trying to stay incognito, but since I’ve been outed as an omega, I’m going to be my full omega self. I really, really like pretty clothes. That is the first thing you should know.”

They look a bit scared and stunned. “What does that mean?”
