“Fuck me.”

It’s empty inside – of humans anyway, but the stench is overpowering.

“Did something die in here?”

Ghost makes retching sounds and I push him hard.

“What’s that for?”

“For messing around.”

I stare around me, my anger mounting, and I am sick to my stomach. There are images on every wall of naked women who have been tied up, beaten and tortured. On one wall entirely are photographs of Sophie that were taken from the internet along with some snaps of her, obviously taken by him. We also find items of her clothing that I’m guessing he stole from her laundry. They are soiled and I’m guessing with his DNA.

“The guy’s a freak.”

Ghost stares around him in horror and I share his reaction. We’ve seen a lot of shit, but this oversteps every mark we have ever encountered.

“What the fuck?”

Titan growls as he points to another wall with images of us. The Wild Angels, the insignia, the leather, the bandanas and the mask and hanging up on a hook is the copy of his leather jacket and mask, his boots neatly placed against the wall.

“What the fuck is that smell?”

Titan turns to a box on the floor and kicks open the lid, and I swear I nearly pass out.

What appears to be blood stains the interior and rags are coated in red.

“Is that a fucking finger?”

Havoc hisses and Ghost takes over.

“Okay, this is serious shit, and I’m calling it in. This guy should be behind bars for this and who knows what else the creep is hiding? He doesn’t deserve rough justice, he deserves federal justice and I’m taking over.”

He glares at each one of us in turn, and we hold up our hands in agreement.

Ghost is rightly named because he is our man on the inside. Extremely high up in the judiciary system, and I trust him to get this right.

We back out of the lockup and Ghost heaves a sigh.

“I’ll make the call and meet you back at the crypt tomorrow. I’ll get a warrant to search Ricardo’s home, lockups and place of work. He’ll be arrested and charged with whatever shit this is.”

“And if the system fails–” My tone is brutal.

“We will finish the job.”

Before we claim our bikes, I pull Havoc aside.

My tone is low as I whisper, “Bring Sophie up to date. Tell her we found him and she is safe.”

“Where?”

“She leaves at 9am tomorrow for the studio. It must be then, because we have the party on Sam’s yacht in the evening and will be away all weekend.”

“Anything else?”

“I want you to hit on her.”

“Are you fucking losing it, Angel?”
