Trino’s expression is cold.

“We send her out, Saint.” Trino’s expression is cold, voice eerily controlled. I read the tension in him, though. It mimics the same bloodthirst in mine. “Tonight, if we can.”

“Tomorrow.” I hold his stare, and after a moment, he gives me a small nod. “It’s late; they’re safe here, and Mami will be going with her. I’ll send someone to pack for them after church.”

Gallo clears his throat to get my attention. “I can go with a prospect and Maria to pack for them. She’ll know what they need.”

“Thank you, brother. It’s appreciated.” No one argues or asks any questions on the matter. No need to vote. “They’ll stay with the De Leons in Miami until the threat is handled. Until then, neither steps outside these gates without protection.” I look around the table, meet each stare. They’re angry. Expressions hard. Good. “Same goes for every woman attached to this club. If they leave the compound, they go with an escort. No exceptions.”

Fists pound the table, all except Kaos, whose brows furrow. “What about mighty nurse?”

“I am her protection.” No hesitation. A heavy declaration I will not elaborate on.

Kaos exchanges a look with Rizos while I catch a faint smirk from Flow.

Other brothers look down.

“Understood, Presidente. Will you assign a prospect to her or—”

Kaos looks like he wants to say more, but he’s cut off by Trojan, who once again points at his screen. “What about Emilio’s girlfriend? She has ties to Genesis Romero.”

“I know.” That earns me curious looks. “They’re good friends and seem to work at the same hospital.”

“Finance.” Trojan clicks the bottom of the screen, and Tatiana’s company picture fills the screen. “She’s clean. No criminal ties…nothing strange in her finances. Normal job, family, and dating history. Emilio doesn’t bring her to these society events either.”

“He’s using her,” I say out loud.

“Looks that way.”

Turning to Flow, I catch the way he’s looking at the screen, a small smirk on his lips. “When Emilio’s in Puerto Plata, I want you on her. Always close to her.”

“On it.” No hesitation. Almost too quickly.

“I want to know where he takes her, who they meet, and whether anyone from that circle is ever present. Especially if Enrique and Ferrero come personally.” Another nod from him and I bring the gavel down, but then stop before it bangs on the wood. “One more thing. Genesis has permission to be on club premises. When she’s here, she gets nothing but respect. No bullshit. No one crowds her. No club-girl drama. Anybody makes her uncomfortable, and they’ll deal with me personally.”

In unison, they bang a fist on the wood as a pledge.

Immediately after, the gavel comes down and church is closed. Brothers get up to leave; a few linger to talk while Doc helps Kaos stand. Rizos is close by in case he’s needed while I pull out my phone and send a single message out.

Threat against Klara. Sending her and Mami to Miami. Keep them close. ~Saint

Thiago’s reply comes fast. Exactly what I expect.

Send them. They’re family. I’ve got them. ~Thiago

GENESIS

Two days off are gone in the blink of an eye, and with it comes the reality of adult responsibilities. Those pesky, never-ending errands or chores that are on a constant loop and you’re never truly done with.

Laundry. Cleaning. Paying bills.

Every day there’s something added to the already packed list of duties, and today I start off by checking the most important one off…

My hair. Priorities.

I slept with my fresh blowout wrapped in a tubi beneath a silk scarf, and after spending entirely too much money getting it trimmed, treated, and shiny—I refuse to let one night of sleep ruin it.
