Chris took one step closer. “Do you have a death wish?”

“Not particularly,” he said.

“Could've fooled me,” she hissed.

“I'm just trying to embrace the holiday spirit,” he insisted.

“You're a wolf-shifter MC Enforcer,” she reminded.

“Can't Enforcers like Christmas?” he asked.

“No,” she said.

Chrome grinned. “Maybe I like Christmas.” Her wolf perked up, but Chris ignored the bitch. She could tell that he was now referring to her and not the holiday.

“You don't even know me,” she reminded.

His smile faded slightly. “I know more than you think.” Something about the way he said it bothered her. Before she could ask what the hell that meant, Tempest shouted from across the clubhouse.

“Chris!” She looked over. Her Prez stood near the bar beside Howler. Moon and Mayhem were there too, and Chris immediately noticed Moon's expression. Shit. She knew that expression. It usually meant one of two things—Moon had seen something, or Mayhem had done something stupid. Considering Mayhem was standing upright and wasn't bleeding, Chris suspected the first.

She walked toward them and Chrome followed behind her like a fucking puppy.

She stopped, turned, and stared him down. “Why are you following me?”

“Going to the bar,” he said.

“You don't drink,” she reminded.

“I might start,” he said.

“Go to the other end of the bar and leave me the hell alone,” she spat.

“No.” Chris stared at him, and the idiot smiled back at her. God, he was irritating. She kept walking.

Tempest waited until Chris reached them. “We need to talk.”

Chris glanced around. “Sounds ominous.”

“It is.” Of course it was.

Moon was watching her too closely, and Chris sighed. “This about the dreams?”

Tempest's expression hardened. “You mean the dreams you weren't going to tell me about?”

“I already told you that I planned on telling you. I just hoped they would go away.” She looked back at Chrome and rolled her eyes when she found him standing behind her. “I wish a lot of things would go away.”

“When were you planning on telling me?” Tempest asked.

“Eventually,” Chris grumbled.

“Great. I'll put eventually on the club calendar,” Tempest said. Mayhem snorted, and Chris flipped him off.

Moon elbowed him. “What?” Mayhem asked. “That was funny.”

“It wasn't,” Moon insisted.

“It was a little funny,” Mayhem said.
