“So he was part of her kidnapping,” Raiden said as he passed by another car only to end up getting to a red light faster.
“Yeah, he was. He’s now very sorry that he knocked Camilla to the ground.”
“I don’t give a shit about that,” Raiden bit out. “Tell me what he knows.”
“One of his buddies, the dead guy, was hired two weeks ago to kidnap Lisa. He tried breaking into her house but then ran scared. He ended up calling in Rick and one other small-time player. They got an idea, and the dead guy tapped a lawn care guy in Lisa’s neighborhood to hook them up with times that lawn care is done so they could blend in. So they picked her up today, and their Mexican client said to sit on Lisa for the next two days, and he’d pay them the rest of the money when he picks her up.”
“So where the fuck is she?” Raiden demanded to know.
“That’s the problem, Rick doesn’t know. They had her at a storage unit, but the lawn care guy said he and his old lady would watch her for two days.”
Raiden shut his eyes for a moment, then opened them. The light was green so he started going fast toward the freeway.
“So we had four guys, plus the Mexican client. Then the client offs one guy. Now we’re down to three. One of whom is Rick, who you have. Then we have the lawn care guy and his old lady who has Lisa, does that sum it up?” Raiden asked.
“No. The third guy, according to Rick, is named Sanchez. Sanchez is planning on cleaning up loose ends. That means he’s heading toward Cami. I want to know where you are, so I can determine if you have Cami, or I do.” Clint said.
“How in the name of all that’s holy would he know where Cami is?” Raiden demanded to know.
“Rick told him to check the hospital because he saw she took quite the hit going down on the pavement.”
“Shit. Okay. I’m almost on the freeway, about four exits from the hospital,” Raiden answered.
“Then you have Cami. I’ll go back to Lisa’s place and see what I can do with Rick’s information to identify the lawn care guy.”
“Hold up,” Raiden said. “Lydia, is Harry still there?”
“Yes.”
“Put your phone on speaker.”
“You’re on speaker,” Lydia said.
“Harry, are you up to speed on everything from Clint?” Raiden asked.
“Yep.” The man answered.
“Call the cops and let them know the situation. Since I’m closest, I’m going to the hospital first, but get over here, will you?”
“Sure. You want me to relieve you?” Harry asked.
“Yeah. Shouldn’t need us there with the cops involved. I’d just feel better if one of us was.”
“I hear that,” Harry agreed. “I’ll meet you at the hospital.”

Raiden was slugging down his third cup of coffee and the sun wasn’t even up. He’d had a minimal amount of shut-eye. He was looking at Clint’s laptop, trying to see if anything new had pinged on his search in the last five minutes. Lydia had told him what to look for when she and Clint had gone to bed in Lisa’s master bedroom three hours ago. A.J. was asleep in the guest bedroom.
Raiden barely flinched when his phone vibrated on the kitchen table, but when he saw it was Kane McNamara, he pounced on it.
“What in the fuck has been going on?” Kane demanded to know. “How in the hell is my wife in Arizona?”
“She came with Carys. Hell, I don’t have to tell you what your wife is like, do I?”
Kane sighed.
“So, what took you so long to call?” Raiden wanted to know.
