I glared at him, but he and Eddie both gave me cheeky grins.

“Jesus, make up already. She’s been insufferable,” Eddie chimed in.

I groaned but stood up. “We can talk in the office.”

Blaise followed me down the hall into the office. He sat down in the chair in front of the desk, and I went behind it. I shuffled some papers off the desk, and Blaise handed over the cheesesteak. He really knew the way to this Philly girl’s heart. I could appreciate the effort.

He took out a healthier grilled chicken wrap while I chowed down on my greasy sandwich.

“I’m sorry,” he said.

“You didn’t have to ghost me.”

“I was trying to give you space.”

I hadn’t exactly reached out to him either, so that was fair.

He ran a hand through his hair. It was getting longer, and I had to admit I liked the look. I may have stalked his social media and saw his hair used to be longer, and I was into it. Dinah called it ‘flow,’ whatever that meant.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have freaked out on you. I understand if you don’t want to come with me to the wedding,” I said.

He set down his wrap on the desk. “Come here,” he ordered.

I put my cheesesteak down and wiped my mouth. “What?”

He patted his lap, and I obeyed him. I got up from my chair and crossed over to him. He pulled me by the belt loops of my jeans down onto him, so I was straddling his tree trunk thighs.

His thumb caressed my cheek, and I tried not to melt into a puddle at the gentle gesture. “I don’t go back on my word. Okay, sweets?”

“Okay…”

“Geez, kiss me already.”

A laugh bubbled up inside me, but then he slanted his mouth on mine. I gave into the kiss, letting his tongue slide inside and his meaty hands run down my sides until he gripped my ass.

He kissed down my neck and sucked on my skin. I moaned and angled my head to give him better access.

“I missed you,” he murmured against my skin. I should have pushed him away and reminded him what this was, but my heart was doing an Irish jig. I had missed him too, and I hated that we weren’t talking.

I felt his cock pressed up against me, and it might have gone further had the office door not swung open, and my brother barged in. He glanced between the two of us, his face pale with shock, but then he laughed his ass off.

What a cock blocking dick.

“You should have gone up to the apartment if you were gonna do that,” Alex teased.

I groaned and hid my face in Blaise’s neck. It wasn’t the first time my brother had walked in on something compromising. I felt Blaise’s chest rumble beneath me from his laughter, but he didn’t bother to take his hands off my ass. In fact, I think he squeezed it a little harder.

“Why do our siblings keep interrupting us?” Blaise grumbled into my neck.

I turned around to fix my brother with a glare. “What do you want? I’m in the middle of lunch.”

“Is that what the kids are calling it these days?” Alex asked with a laugh.

“Eat a dick.”

“Mmm, I probably will later, but we got a walk-in and could use your help.”

I groaned. “Fine.”
