And then I was sliding inside her as hard and fast as I could, pinning her down as I took her with reckless abandon. I was like a rutting beast, and by the way she cried out my name again, she loved every second of it.
“Fuckkkk,” I groaned as ropes of cum spilled out of me and inside her as wave after wave of pleasure expelled from my body. I meant to pull out and smear it across her beautiful tits, but she felt too good that I couldn’t stop myself.
I grabbed her face and kissed her with all the passion I could muster. I kissed her until I felt myself get soft inside her, then I finally got off of her.
I grabbed a tissue from the bedside table to clean myself up. My sheets were a mess, and that should have made me twitchy. But right now, I didn’t care one bit. I undid the restraints above Lila’s head and kissed her wrists like I always did after I bound her.
She giggled. “I love that you do that.”
I rubbed her wrists. “It’s my aftercare. I need it too. Let me grab you a washcloth.”
I ran to my bathroom and got her a warm washcloth. I brought it back to her, and she cleaned herself off. “Ew. There’s cum on the bed.”
I laughed. “Get up. I gotta throw this in the wash.”
I was lucky I had a washer and dryer in this unit. It made up for the small space. Lila went to the bathroom while I threw the sheets in the wash and put a clean set on the bed. She jumped into the clean sheets and rolled around in my bed excitedly.
I laughed.
“Best Halloween party ever!” she exclaimed.
I climbed into bed with her and cuddled her. “I wholeheartedly agree.”
When I stared at this raven-haired beauty in my bed, when I looked at the smile I put on her face, I wanted to tell her I loved her. I wanted to beg her to stay this time. But I told her all those things long ago, and she hadn’t stayed then. I had to be content that this was it. That, in a couple of days, she would leave me again with a shattered heart.
Tonight. I’d enjoy the comfort of her in my arms. I’d think about the hurt much later.
Chapter Twenty-One
LILA
I woke to the smell of bacon, and I reached a hand out to find Declan wasn’t in bed beside me. I opened my eyes slowly and saw his side of the bed was completely empty. I strained my ears and heard him cooking in his kitchen. The smell of breakfast and strong coffee wafted in from behind the closed bedroom door, and I couldn’t help the smile that etched across my face.
The party last night was awesome, and last night in bed with him was amazing. But also bittersweet. When he made love to me, he was saying goodbye. Like he already knew I was going to break his heart. Afterward, when he held me tight, he broadcasted all those feelings. He got quiet, yet needy in the way he held me so close, afraid I’d float away if he let go.
I almost told him I loved him at the brewery. When we were dancing underneath the dim Halloween lights, and he looked at me with his eyes aglow with happiness, I almost let it slip. I couldn’t tell him now. Not when I still hadn’t decided if I was sticking around.
I needed to make a choice soon. If I wasn’t going to move back, telling Declan I loved him, even if it was the truth, would only hurt him in the end. I had already hurt him so much; I couldn’t bear to do it all over again.
I checked the time on my phone and frowned when I saw a text from Chad.
CHAD: My stuff’s out of your house. Can you let me know you’re okay? Your neighbor said you asked her to get your mail, and you’ve been gone for over a month.
Shit. I forgot about that. I should have had the post office hold it for me.
I shot off a quick text to Chad. I didn’t want to, but if I didn’t, he would pester me.
ME: Fine. Went home to Pennsylvania to figure some things out.
I put my phone down and got out of bed. I grabbed one of Declan’s t-shirts from his dresser drawer and threw it on.
I opened the door to his bedroom and tip-toed into the kitchen. Declan was humming to the music he was playing and flipping pancakes on the griddle. A plate of pancakes was next to him, and bacon was waiting for us on the table. He cut up some fruit while he waited for the next pancake to cook.
I crept up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. He turned in my sneaky embrace and gave me a quick kiss. “There she is!”
“You’re making breakfast?”
He nodded. “Coffee’s on. It’s just about ready.”
