I handed Benny a plate, and he took it while I sat in the armchair and Dinah pressed herself next to Noah. She was so tiny next to him, but they looked so cute together.

“What do you mean by that?” Noah asked around a mouthful of food.

“It was just a ploy to get her to come back,” Benny said.

“He pretended to be my boyfriend so she would lay off. And then she got really biphobic about it, so I’m glad I’m done with her,” I explained and shoved pasta into my face.

Dinah cocked an eyebrow at me, and I felt uncomfortable at the way she stared at me. Was it all over my face that Benny had given me countless orgasms and I was starving for more?

“This is weird,” she finally said.

“What is?” I grumbled.

“You two not trying to claw each other’s eyes out,” Noah supplied.

Benny shrugged. “We learned to live together.”

“But not for long,” I pointed out.

“What do you mean?” Dinah asked.

“Oh, I found a place.”

“Oh, the place in Fishtown?” she asked. I guessed Fi had told her. I hadn’t realized how close they were.

I nodded. “Yeah, it’s a decent size and within my budget, so it will be perfect.”

Dinah nodded, but she was still studying Benny and me, and I felt uncomfortable. Could she tell? I checked Benny’s face to see if my lipstick was on him, but there was no evidence of that.

Noah kicked my foot and startled me. “I saw you got on the ice.”

I nodded.

“That’s great!” Noah said with a big smile. “T said you haven’t been on in years.”

I nodded. “I’m still scared about that concussion I got during University.”

“Well, you looked good out there,” Noah said.

“I think she’s the fastest skater I’ve ever seen,” Benny said.

Dinah fixed her studious gaze on Benny like she was trying to suss something out.

“No way she’s faster than me!” Noah argued.

“Hell yeah, I am!” I teased. “I’ll leave you in my dust, Kennedy!”

Dinah laughed at that and shook her head. “You hockey players.”

“Aw, lovey. You love us,” Noah said and kissed her cheek.

They left after the game because Dinah and I both had to be up early since we had day jobs. I took a shower, and it surprised me to find Benny sitting on Tristan’s bed when I got out.

“What’s up?” I asked.

“Do you think Dinah knows?” he asked.

“I think she suspects something. We have to be careful,” I told him as I dropped my towel and changed into clean pajamas.
