“Yes. That’s the idea.”

We nodded and then got ready to take the stage. I tapped the gun, knowing I was going to let loose the moment I got out there. “This already loaded?”

“Don’t break them.” Kai pointed at me. “And yes.”

I laughed maniacally, kissed Colten, then ran out across the stage. For once, I didn’t strut and didn’t go straight to Laz. I jogged to the front and shot that cannon. It went pretty far and it got the crowd waving their hands in the air. I grabbed a few shirts out of the box and shot a few more off, but I didn’t play around too much, since there wasn’t a lot of extra time. I put the gun beside the box of shirts. Kay and Matty had shot off a few too. This was going to be a blast. Guitarist with T-shirt cannons—who knew that was a thing?

“Hello, Las Vegas!” Pierce roared into the mic. He continued to pump up the crowd while us three guitarists strapped up. Despite his attitude, he at least was a professional and handled the crowd, and I was happy about that. Then the show started for real.

The next day we all acted like we weren’t going to Soul Shred’s show. Pierce found it particularly funny, but I was starting to think it was just mean, especially after Drake called us assholes and stormed off. Pierce only laughed. In the end, we were going and we were going to crash in and jump on the stage with them. If the crowd liked Soul Shred, they would probably love us popping up and surprising the band.

I started getting ready, putting on the eyeliner and all that when my phone rang. “Can you grab that?”

Colten grunted and picked up the call. “Joe Young’s phone. Can I help you?” That was a cute way to answer, and I was totally gushing over Colten. “Hello? Hello?” He leaned into the tiny bathroom and held the phone out. “No one was there. Do you recognize the number?”

I looked, and I was sure my face paled. “Y-Yeah. That’s probably my ex.” I recognized the area code, and I sure didn’t know anyone else from there.

“Oh. How long have you been broken up?” Damn, he sounded so worried.

“Years, Colten.” I tried to reassure him.

“Years? Why is he calling now?”

I sighed loudly, not looking forward to this conversation, and honestly, we didn’t have time for it. I wasn’t going to lie, but I could downplay some. “I get calls and texts from him now and then. I ignore it.”

“Maybe block him?”

“I have. Somehow, he gets around it. He’s changed his number as many times as I have, but he always manages to find mine again.” I didn’t know what else to do.

“Hmm…”

“It’s no big deal.”

“It might be, but we can talk about it more later.” I wasn’t sure how I felt about that. Was there a need to discuss it further? Did I want to tell him everything? A part of me was embarrassed that I’d ever dated the creep, and I never wanted to be a victim, but I also wanted to be honest with Colten. I didn’t want him to think badly about me. He was rapidly becoming so much more to me, but he was right about one thing. We had a show to get to, so it had to wait.

The venue was in the arts district across town at a place called Bizarre Bar. Some people were calling it Swan Dive, which was confusing, but when we arrived, there were two signs, one with each name, and a line around the block. Of course, we bypassed that and slid in the back. We were early, but we still surprised the guys from Soul Shred, and when they took the stage, we jumped on, joining them in a song.

Afterward, we hung around a bit, then hit another bar before heading back to our hotel. The best part was having Colten there with me. Sure, I loved Kay and the rest of our band, and was happy to support Soul Shred, but more than anything, I loved sharing all of it with Colten.

And at the end of the night, we took a shower together, taking turns lathering up each other and rinsing off. I held his cock with a soapy hand, teasing him. Until he stuck me under the water with a growl. He got out and wrapped me up in a towel, carrying me to the bed. No one had ever cared for me like that. It made me feel special, like I was his whole world.

He dried my hair and when he took the towel away, he kissed me. We got in bed and held each other, hands roaming, and we kissed again, tongues playing together. I pulled back and looked into his captivating blue eyes, watching them darken, reminding me of ocean waves, all shades of blue roiling together. “What do you want me to do?”

“Here.” He grabbed my hand and placed it on his cock, which I immediately squeezed and stroked.

“Like this?”

“Mmm…like that. Good job.” He humped into my hand a few times. “Let’s both do it. Come here.” He positioned us so our cocks were together, bumping each other. Then he grabbed them, squeezing them together. “Now move your hips like you’re fucking.”

I got his intention and started pumping, tunneling my cock between his fingers and his dick. It felt incredible but a little rough. “Maybe we need lube.”

“Good idea.” He kissed my forehead. “You’re so smart. Don’t move.” When he made comments like that, I totally melted. He leaped from the bed and dug through his toiletries. Returning with the bottle, he squeezed it in his palm, then rubbed them together. “Let’s do it.”

The frottage was on for real after that and only took a minute before we both came all over each other. I shook out my orgasm and was ready to collapse, but we had sticky jizz all over our bellies. To be honest, most of it was on Colten and his hands. “Why don’t you wash up?” I suggested

“Why don’t you come with me?” he countered.

“Race ya.” With a new burst of energy, I jumped up, dodged him, and dashed into the bathroom. Colten followed on my heels, and when he caught me, he lifted me up and over his shoulder and gave my ass a quick swat.
