Her Virginity

Nathaniel

Nathaniel opened the door. Mark and Chelsea entered, looking uneasy as they stepped past him. At his request, Mark had brought a bunch of flowers for Kira, but it was a paltry offering of semi-wilted marigolds, and not the thoughtful bouquet she deserved.

Nathaniel’s jaw flexed. When Mark nodded to him in polite greeting, Nathaniel returned the courtesy by not killing him.

He couldn’t breathe, and every step he took in leading the pair to the hotel bedroom was like a rusty nail dragging across the flesh of his back.

Breathe.

He had to keep it together—for Kira. This was what she needed to do for the greater good. It was what they both needed to do, to put aside their personal desires. Plus, a wolf shifter like her deserved to be part of a pack. He’d robbed her of that opportunity the first time he’d bitten her. He wouldn’t ruin her initiation again. It wasn’t fair, and she didn’t deserve that, not from him.

Even so, his feet felt like lead, and he faltered at the bedroom door.

“Is she in there?” Mark asked eagerly, brushing past him into the room.

Chelsea gave Nathaniel a look that he couldn’t quite decipher—Hate? Disapproval? Pity?—before following Mark in.

Nathaniel hesitated a moment, his ears ringing as he heard Mark speak.

“There you are, Kira. Wow, you look incredible.”

Nathaniel licked his lips and entered, his chest tightening as he spotted Kira.

She was wearing the outfit he’d bought her: a sheer white lace corset that hugged her every curve. It lifted the swell of her breasts to emphasise her cleavage and barely masked the dark circle of her nipples. Thin white stockings travelled up to her thighs, and she’d donned the silver stilettos he’d packed. She looked like an angel, and no one who saw her could doubt her innocence as she sat with her legs squeezed together and her hands fidgeting nervously in her lap.

“Is it just the two of you?” she asked.

“I’m the only witness,” Chelsea explained. “The other alphas are not required to be here.”

By which she means I made them stay away.

The initiation would be degrading enough for Kira without the whole pack ogling her.

“Let’s begin,” Mark announced, already taking off his shirt.

The fucker hadn’t even bothered to wear a blazer.

Kira looked green as she watched Mark pull down his trousers and step out of them.

“Hope you’re wetter than last time,” Mark said, his cock swinging half-mast as he pushed down his boxers and approached Kira. “Lie back, let me get in there.”

Fuck.

This was happening too fast.

The urge to run to her, to throw Mark out of the room and tear him a new one was strong.

Nathaniel bit his cheek and tasted blood. His helplessness was agonising as it clawed up his throat, making it impossible to breathe as he watched Mark push Kira’s legs apart. No foreplay, no conversation, and no regard for her feelings whatsoever. Just a clinical, impersonal ritual.

The air left the room, and Nathaniel strode to the balcony and pushed the doors open, drawing a breath as he reeled with dizziness.

I can’t do this. I can’t.

His heart thundered in his chest, and he clutched at the railing tightly, his knuckles white.

This was wrong. It all felt wrong. That was his mate, the love of his life, and he was just standing by as another man took her.
