But, as if to tease me, Skipper lets go of our embrace and pulls away from me. I pout in sexual frustration as he lifts up his side of the silk bedsheets and steps out of the bed. In annoyance I slowly roll over to his side of the bed, pushing myself into the hot comfy crevice left in the mattress by his body. I hazily open my eyes to watch Skipper casually cross the master bedroom and head to his waiting clothes.
He bends over to pick up a new pair of underpants and I admire his toned ass. His body is lightly tanned all over and it’s clear from where I’m lying that he never ever skips leg day. His legs are muscular and brawny, just the way I like my men. Skipper is a fine specimen of a man in his physical, and may I say sexual, prime. He’s like a tough strong bear. I feel safe lying in his bed, like he can protect me from anything.
“Where are you going?” I ask him with no real urgency. I wish he’d come back to bed, come back and please me as he did earlier. I would like that very, very much.
“I don’t want to greet room service completely naked,” Skipper replies, finding a spare shirt in his deep wardrobe to put on.
“Why not? I think that’s kind of hot.”
“I’ve already greeted someone today in just my underpants, and look how that’s turned out,” Skipper replies, gesturing to me lying in his bed. “I can’t keep filling up my bed with people who’ve come to my door and find me irresistible wearing just my underwear.”
“True that, just stay naked for me, okay?”
I lie here, in his massive bed, as he continues dressing, not knowing what’s going on in his mind. I want to know. I want to see what Skipper Deep is thinking in that gorgeous head of his, but I don’t know at all. I have no clue. It irritates me. I want to understand him. I want to know our future.
I want to know if he truly likes me as he says he does, or if this is just another time where he’ll run off to a different girl again.
“What do you think about the school?” I dare to ask.
“Poseidon’s Academy?”
“No, the other one I work at,” I reply sarcastically.
“Shut up, you.”
“Do you think you’re going to invest in it?”
Skipper ponders my question for a moment, then shrugs his shoulders and bends down to slide his trousers over his gorgeous legs. “I’m still to make up my mind,” he replies. “I don’t know yet.”
I really wish I could pry open his head and see what he is thinking. Will he invest in the school? Will he stay in New Water? What happens if he decides to go back to America?
What will happen to me?
“When do you think you’ll decide?” I ask, lifting my head up on the pillow so I can see him better. I don’t like pushing him like this, but I need an answer.
I can’t bear not knowing.
“When the time’s right.”
“When do you think it’ll be right?”
Skipper chuckles as if I’m being a silly girl and strolls back over to me on the bed. He still needs to button up his shirt, his solid abs are showing. He kisses me for a brief moment and runs his hand through my post-sex crazy hair. “Don’t worry about it,” he whispers.
But I am worrying. I kiss him back. His face is cool to the touch. His lips are full and inviting. I just want to stay in bed with him for a whole week and never leave, I just want to make love over and over again. Just us two. That’s the dream.
As our tongues meet all I can think of are Miss Tweed’s words to me. Her threat. Those venomous words echo in my head.
I’ve got my eye on you.
She really does. She’s really out to get me fired from the school. She wants me gone. I’ve never had someone hate me like her, someone who actually passionately despises me.
And I can’t trust Skipper. He says not to worry, yet I can’t help but worry. What happens to me when he decides to go? Will I be left all alone like I was eight years ago? Will he abandon me again? Find some other woman to keep his hotel bed warm?
Sandy, you’ve got yourself in a tricky situation. You’re falling for a man you can’t trust.
Skipper stands again and starts to button up his shirt.
Bye, nice shiny abs.
