And I just nodded…because fuck–I really wanted to kiss him.

Sam let out a smile, nudging his head closer like every inch would be closer to me, backing out, but I was in. I was tired of feeling so sorry for myself the last month when Sam was right there.

We’d have some shit to work out, but I could kiss the guy–just once.

Sam’s lips formed to mine–soft, warm pillows that fit just right. It wasn’t fireworks or an explosion behind my eyes, but a soft, comforting buzz in my head.

A constant hum like white noise I could fall asleep to–Sam was comfort.

And I needed more of it.

Sam went easily, melting into his couch under me with his lips locked to mine. I brushed my tongue along his lip and got my first taste of his, and there were all those sparks I was supposed to feel. I felt them down my spine and all over my skin, lighting me up.

Every time I’d ever wanted to touch Sam was coming to life in my head, gliding my hands over his sides and his thigh. I didn’t even notice I'd started rocking into him until something was just feeling far too good.

I looked down to see, only to find it was Sam. Nice and hard against my dick and aching for me to touch him just a little bit more.

That probably should have been my turn-back-now moment, but I was already in too deep.

I loved the man under me.

Both of them.

Sam was a panting mess, fisting my shirt and pulling it around, absentmindedly trying to pull it off me as my mouth attached to his neck. My eyes rolled back into my head at just the sound he let out–a relieved moan of my name.

Like he’d been in serious need of exactly this–my mouth on him.

A sudden knock at his door made us both stop, prying my lips off his skin to look up at his door, then back down at him. His eyes rolled, and a quiet groan came rumbling out of him–not the kind I was interested in hearing right now.

“It’s Ash,” he whispered, letting out a heavy breath to calm down under me. “He’s been coming over every day to make me go outside and stuff–just ignore him–”

“Saaaaam,” Ash sang annoyingly, grating on my nerves, and not even because he was interrupting what was likely about to be the hottest make-up sex I'd ever had.

Okay, the only make-up sex I'd ever had–shut up.

No, my irritation with Ash right now was all stemming from how up Sam’s ass he was. I appreciated him making sure my Sam didn’t wallow and not heal the right way, but I was back, and I had it under control now.

A little irritated, I slid off Sam and onto my feet, crossing over to his door on a mission. I swung it open, and there was Ash, with stupid blonde hair and confused eyes when they fell on me and all.

“Can I help you?” I asked as nicely as I could.

Ash raised an eyebrow at me, glancing down the hall like he had to make sure he was actually at Sam’s apartment and not mine. “Did I miss a chapter in this saga or something?” he asked, trying to look past me to Sam. “Sammy?”

Yeah–something in me really didn’t like hearing Ash call him Sammy.

I didn't even call him that, but still.

“He’s good,” I confirmed, moving slightly out of the way as Sammy hobbled up to me, hanging off my shoulder. “See? Perfectly fine.”

“Mhhm,” Ash hummed, narrowing his eyes at Sam. “Except I saw him wallowing in lonely sadness last night, and that hickey on his neck is new, so I clearly missed a chapter, and I’m offended.”

“Chapter is ongoing,” Sam mumbled, eyes locked on Ash as he shut the door as fast as possible.

Chapter 28

Landon

The energy changed when Sam shut that door. I was half tempted to just do him right on that couch a few minutes ago, but now I had taken a step back.
