“Not that I could tell ya. But I will have the girls keep an ear out. If I hear anythin’ I’ll make sure to pass it on t’ ya.” Jazzy says as the sound of girls chirping and laughing down the tunnel echoes into the chamber, “Sounds like the evening is almost done.”

“Here I’ll give you my number–”

Jazzy smirks, cutting Mila off, “I know where t’ find ya copper.”

Chapter 21

Massimo

My cock throbs against my jeans as I watch Mila pace around her house. Memories from earlier plague my mind. Memories of her grinding against my cock, soaking right through her panties and my boxers, coating me, claiming me. Fuck. She is perfect.

Pre-cum leaks from my tip, smearing on my lower abdomen, but I don’t touch myself. I can’t. Not when my hand will never do the feeling of her justice.

“Please,” her little whimpered moan rings in my head. Begging for me.

Everything snapped in that moment, and I had to feel her cum—to watch her fall apart.

Blood rushes to my cock once more. Tearing my thoughts away from her cumming for me, I focus back on my monitors.

Mila walks from her kitchen to her bathroom, then to her room. Each camera I have placed only gives me a glimpse of what she is up to, but from the looks of her stiff shoulders and the way her foot taps on the floor, she’s feeling anxious.

I continue to silently watch the tapping of her feet and her nervous eyes darting from her phone to the room around her. It’s only when her hands begin to tremble that I give in to the need to call her. The line rings, startling her, but she answers by the second ring.

“Hello?” Her voice is softer than I have ever heard it. Pure vulnerability.

My hand clenches almost painfully around my phone.

Mila should never feel terror as raw as this. Even when she was scared to let herself go and cum for me, she was still unbreakable while she chased after the pleasure she deserved.

“Hello, beautiful,” I murmur, keeping my voice low and listening for the little hitch in her breathing.

“What are you doing?” She stammers, and my chest rumbles with a deep chuckle.

“Calling you,”

“Why?”

“Because I want to.”

She stands from her desk, colour returning to her pale cheeks, and I focus on the little pink splotch.

“Oh…” Her body slumps into her bed, looking heavier and more exhausted than ever.

“What are you still doing up?” I ask as she kicks off her socks, leaving her bare, perfectly manicured feet on display. I’ve never been a foot guy, but with Mila, any glimpse of her makes my entire body ignite.

“Nothing, just can’t sleep.” She shrugs, even though it’s a phone call and she doesn’t realize I can see her.

“Did you like the flowers?” My eyes drift to her dining room table, a small wooden table with two chairs. On top of it sits the bouquet I had delivered to her. A massive bouquet as I requested, full of roses, and tiny white flowers I don’t know the name of. It barely fits on the small table, but it still doesn’t seem like enough. She deserves so much more.

“Yes, but how did you have them ordered and delivered before we got back for the evening? I didn’t even think florists were open at this time of night.” Mila comments, her brows furrowing as she attempts to figure me out.

My stomach plummets at the thought of her figuring out I am in the mafia. Morally, she will struggle with our relationship. She will fight this between us and try to get away from me, but that won’t ever happen. You don’t walk away from men like me. Law enforcement or not.

“I have a friend,” I respond. It’s not a lie. I do have a friend. Ren can get access to anything I want or need in this city, and he’s the one who's organized the bouquet for her.

The line goes silent, and I watch Mila toss and turn, still wide awake even though her body is clearly ready for sleep.

“You have friends?” She quips, and I laugh. Not a chuckle, not something fake when trying to make political deals. An honest one.
