“Vincent!”

“Come for me, Jay.”

I come with a shout, my whole body locking up as the pleasure rushes over me. I spill over his hand and onto the table, my whole body shaking with the intensity of it.

“Fuck, yes,” Vincent groans, his rhythm faltering. “So perfect. You’re so fucking perfect.”

He thrusts a few more times, chasing his own release, and then he’s coming too, buried deep inside me. I can feel him pulsing, filling me, and it sends more shivers through my oversensitive body.

We stay like that for a long moment, both of us breathing hard. Vincent's weight against me is strangely comforting, grounding me after everything that just happened. Eventually, he pulls back and helps me to my feet, which is harder than I'd like to admit on legs that are currently made of jelly.

“Come here,” he murmurs.

He pulls me into his arms, and I bury my face against his neck, breathing in his familiar scent. Sweat and alpha musk mingle with the cedar that always seems to cling to him, and it makes me feel even more at home.

“That was…” I start, but the words fail me.

“Yeah.” He presses a soft kiss to my temple. “It really was.”

We stay wrapped around each other until my brain finally starts functioning again. Unfortunately, the first thing it decides to say is unhinged.

“You know, we could switch sometimes if you wanted.”

Vincent goes completely still. “Switch?”

“Yeah.” I pull back enough to look at him. “I could top sometimes. If you wanted to try being on the other side of things. You don't have to. I'm perfectly happy with what we just did. More than happy, actually. That was incredible. I just thought that if you were ever curious…”

“Jay.”

I snap my mouth shut.

His expression is a strange mix of surprise and uncertainty, but there's no rejection in it.

“I've never…” He hesitates, glancing away as a faint blush spreads across his cheeks. “I mean, alphas don't usually…”

“I know,” I say quickly. “It's not exactly common, but it's not unheard of either. And there's nothing wrong with it. Some alphas like being taken care of sometimes. But if you're not interested, that's completely fine. Like I said, I'm very happy with this arrangement. We don't ever have to change it.”

“I didn't say I wasn't interested.”

My heart skips. “No?”

“No.” He looks almost embarrassed by the admission. “I've thought about it. Sometimes. But I've never actually…” He trails off with an awkward shrug. “I wouldn't even know what to do.”

“You wouldn't have to know what to do.” I smile. “You'd just have to trust me. Let me take care of you for a change.”

His eyes meet mine, and I can see the vulnerability there. Curiosity fighting with the instinct he's probably spent his entire life learning to obey. For Vincent, giving up control might be far more intimidating than taking it.

“Maybe,” he says eventually. “Someday. Definitely not tonight.”

“Whenever you're ready,” I assure him. “Or never. Seriously. There's no pressure.”

He studies me for another moment before leaning in and kissing me.

It's long and deep, affectionate rather than demanding, and when he finally pulls away, there's a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

"I love this," he murmurs, leaning in for another peck on the lips. "I love that you want to take care of me. I love that you aren't ashamed of wanting the things that you want. It's refreshing."

“It is?”
