Lucas rolls his eyes, then he sees Tessa. His entire expression changes. The smile that spreads across his face makes me smile too.
The red-haired girl follows his gaze.
Her expression hardens.
“Here come the prosti-tots.”
My stomach drops.
Tessa's face changes instantly; I know that look, she is pissed.
Lucas doesn't even hesitate. “Tessa, baby, they were all for you!”
He pushes through the crowd. When he reaches her, he kisses her cheek, then picks her up and spins her around. “My good luck charm.”
Tessa looks completely stunned. I bite back a laugh.
Then I hear her mutter, “The cheek?”
Lucas just grins.
Those two are ridiculous.
A few minutes later, while we're waiting for the boys to shower and change, I pull my Polaroid camera from my bag.
Tessa looks over. “You got pictures?”
“A few.” I hand them to her.
“I got some good ones of Lucas, too.”
She flips through them.
Then she gets to the last one and stops.
Her smile gets huge. “What?”
She turns the picture toward me.
It's Lucas holding her up in the air, both of them smiling at each other.
“That's my favorite,” she says.
I grin. “You're going to have to start bringing your camera to the games.”
“Why?”
“So, you can get pictures of Tommy and me.”
She looks at me like that's the most obvious thing in the world. “I promise.”
I smile. “Good.”
She smiles at the photo. “Tomorrow we have to get some of us too.”
“Senior year.” I lean my head on her shoulder.
“Yeah, senior year.”
